Other than reading, which is an activity for me rather than a hobby, I like to bead and make jewelry. I haven't done that in awhile, and I haven't scrapbooked since last month either. I've been busy with Halloween crafting.
I paint. Not pictures but walls--I love to paint! I am getting back into sewing (taught it for 30 years) because there are no cute clothes that I am buying and the cute ones are way too expensive. I made/am making all the drapes in my house. I taught wanna be chefs for 30 years too so I love cooking but not plain stuff--I like the gourmet end of it.
My newest adventure is my daughter "hired" me to be her wedding planner and dress maker. I love to put on a party! I just finished designing the Save the Date cards for her destination wedding and Dallas reception.
I used to do needlepoint and later I did counted cross stitch. I also used to play the piano. There aren't enough hours in a day for a more than full time job, plus multiple hobbies.
Now I do papercrafts, and collect a lot of stuff.

I started a watercolor class a few weeks ago...what's fun about it is she has had us make cards...who would have guessed? Also, we have used rubber stamps a few times also. I like to canoe in the summer and I'm getting a bicycle this spring.

I also am a quilter, cross stitcher, and I do a little knitting. I need to dust off my sewing machine and get some baby quilts made. I am a collector of pink depression glass-- I have two china closets full.
As you might guess...I quilt! ;)
I started quilting when I decided to make a baby quilt for my first child (now 25)...that quilt ended up being QUEEN sized (some big baby quilt, eh?), and I flirted with counted cross stitch and crewel embroidery, but haven't done either for quite awhile.
DH and I are avid antiquers, mostly furniture and regional salt-glazed stoneware.
I love to paint. I paint in acrylics, watercolors and colored pencils. The pencils are my main thing now. I've been teaching acrylics for many years and been teaching colored pencils this year. In fact I taught a class today at Hobby Lobby. I got into rubber stamping because I owned a shop almost 20 years ago and carried Mary Englebriet stamps.
It's fun reading this thread. I am so impressed with all you ladies - how do you manage so many hobbies!!
I love to read. Just have to read something everyday.
I decided to step into sewing but all I've done is sew 2 pieces of clothing till now. My DH is not very happy about it as he sees the sewing machine gathering dust. I hope to catch on with it when I can convince myself that 24 hrs in a day is really what everybody has and manages with!
Reading, knitting, embroidery, piano and flute. There isn't enough time in the day for everything, but I can do knitting in work, and reading on the bus. Photography.
In addition to papercrafting, I make beaded crowns and wands for little girls' dress-up. I'm trying to find time to read about and set up and etsy shop for these, but between my 3-day/week engineering job, housekeeping (or attempts at!), and kids' activities, there isn't much time!
:mrgreen:WOW, I thought I'd be the only one who said they loved to paint walls (53queenbee). MY DH has put me on restriction from painting OUR house anymore, so I'm available! Besides making cards and paper crafts (NO SCRAPBOOKING for me), I also like (sometimes NEED) to crochet, cross stitch, quilt, sew (garments, home goods and crafts); love to read for pleasure; gardening when the weather is fair enough; wish I was better at and had more room (and TOOLS) for woodworking; also love to go fishing with DH.
My DD & DH say I have CRAFT ADD cuz I literally will go from making a card, to sewing something to crocheting all in the span of an hour. They never know where to look for me (and that's my plan!)

Along with papercrafting, I've taken up needle art again this year after a long absence. I love to cross sitch, and punch needle is fun, too. I put a lot of my projects on my blog, too. I think I just like to create stuff. When I'm not creating stuff, I spend a lot of time reading and gardening. Now some may argue that my love of coffee is not a hobby, per se, but if you do it right, it can be! Most of my hobbies are just mechanisms I use to avoid housework. ;)
Did crochet before paper crafts, but mostly I paper craft (scrapbooks, cards, mini-albums, etc)
Since our basement is in the process of being finished off and all my stuff is in boxes with other boxes piled up on top of them, it's harder to paper craft these days, so to fill the void I went back to my crochet hobby for now.
I pretty much like all kinds of crafts! Mainly I only do a craft when I need something to be made for a reason. Right now I'm working on cake truffles and making boxes to put them in for a bridal shower, as well as making rosaries for the couple. We homeschool and have a lot of activities out of the house, so I try to bring parts of a project; no point in sitting there idle for an hour!
This is in no particular order, and I don't have a favorite.
-stamping (mostly cards and 'thing'; haven't gotten into scrapbooking)
-beading
-cake decorating
-cookie decorating
-handwriting (I don't make up my own stories, so I'm copying "Jane Eyre")
-research (if my daughter or I want to know about something, I spend a lot of time learning about it; mostly online)
-sewing (right now just easy things like napkins & pillow cases for gifts, or my daughter's costumes)
-crocheting (I can't read the patterns, so I can only make blankets and scarves!)
Archery, is top on my list, I started shooting last December and have hardy missed a day of shooting since. I LOVE IT!
I also enjoy quilting, sewing clothing for myself, hiking, and going to the gym.
I'm thinking back to all the hobbies I have had through the years, crewel, counted cross stitch, tole / folk art painting, wood working, ceremics, refinishing furniture.
I am a collector of rubber stamps ;) chicken, rooster, and sun decor, the funnier looking the better.
Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
I used to do Decorative Painting and now it is my full time job. I teach 13th classes and workshop a week and publish my own painting design which I sel to art stores and to magazines.
For those of you how might be interrested to see what I do here is my web site www.creationeverest.com
I also used to cross stitch but not anymore. Also I love Hardanger embroidery.
I play Squash and I like swimming also.
Sandra
My other activities are Decorative Painting. and now it is my full time job I
I frequently joke and say being a grandma is my new hobby! It is the best and baby number two is on the way. Other than that I do basket weaving. I used to do it a lot more but after a while everyone I knew had all the baskets they needed. I am getting ready to go to the school and make baskets in a classroom as a part of their Native American unit.
Cooking/baking! I make nearly everything from scratch so I spend more time on that hobby than I do papercrafting. In the past, my other hobbies including making jewelry, latch hook and loom beading. I've always wanted to learn to quilt. Maybe I'll pick that one up one day. LOL

My list is almost identical to Randa's (from a couple hours ago). I do all the same things, including painting walls, I love to paint, I have painted our entire house, all excpet my craft room, its next, and then I will be ready to start over. And like everyone has said, not enough hours in the day to do all I would like to do and I work full time job, I am here 45 hours a week.

WEll-----photography is the biggest chunk, reading is everyday, but I also scrapbook(not the designer page type --just your basic this is what you did at this time kind), I enjoy fun cooking and I can sew and create but haven't done much of that since my mom passed away (she left me 60+quilts). I enjoy being outside and love baseball--though it isn't as much fun when I don't have a child playing and they are all grownup now. I love my grands and being with them but two live 1500 miles away and one lives 7 hours away so those visits are few but treasured.

I am into too much!
papercrafts; rubberstamping; felting; jewelry; love Facebook; surfing the web for project ideas; reading; puzzles
You name it, I've tried it!:-D
Other than stamping/scrapbooking, I work with glass. I make fused dichroic glass pendants, slumped wine bottles, vases, bowls, etc. I also do beaded jewelry. Reading is another favorite of mine (chic lit, fluff).
I only have one other "Hobby" - more of an obsession I guess given the amount of time it requires to do well and justify the money we spend on it - which is our horses. DD and I both ride and show on the hunter circuit. I don't consider it a hobby, though, more of a sport.
I love to read, mysteries and scary stories, I crochet although it's been awhile for that. I collect Italian pottery the gaudier the better. Plus I just make myself crazy picking up the house!
