Can anyone think of ideas on what to put on cards for boys? I have friends that are 18-20 year old boys, and they don't want girly flower cards from me. Any suggestions? Email me: [email protected]
Thanks
Amber
I use my "take me out to the ballgame" set for guys all the time. It works great with browns/tans and I've also done it red/blue on white for my daughters friends (kids). Unfortunately I don't have any in the gallery. You can also customize the card if the guy likes a certain team by using the team's colors.
I also got the Pines set to do masculine cards but the guys I know aren't into hunting or mountain type things. I don't know what I was thinking!
I hope this is helpful but I'm guessing that you don't necessarily have these sets handy. -r
I use leaves alot also. If you use alot of the EE colors they come out pretty boyish. I know your delema. I have a really hard time making cards for males.
The men in my family have received cards using the In The Wild set (usually post a saying inside like "Have a Wild Day!"), and will be using the new Loads of Love with the tire tracks wheel for the next couple of "man events."
My little nephew loves fishy friends-- but he's 3!
You can also use the pocket from the Pocket Fun set and stamp the denim background to make it look like a real pocket-- then just put a note in the pocket like "Happy Birthday." It's fast and easy- and manly enough for a teenager.
How about ones like this one.....I'm using this version for money cards for my teenage nephews. Take any ordinary set and rough it up, sponge it, tear it, crumple it and add hardware. Instant male card.
I like geometrics for masculine cards. Here's what I did for my uncles/cousins, etc. who had birthdays last month. It's US white and going gray cardstock. Ink is black, going gray and real red.
Stamp sets are Simple Shapes and Simple Sayings 2 (only used the 'Happy Birthday' portion since it fit so nicely in the rectangle).
