Default Not too happy with my Fiskars paper trimmer..

It just doesn't seem to cut smoothly, and that's with just cutting 1-2 sheets of cardstock at a time. (not even the thicker cardstock) I gave $19 for it. I'm thinking about taking it back and getting a different one. I have a 50% off coupon for Joann's and thinking about getting the Fiskars Premium Trimmer. Just wondering if it would be any better. Also, can you get the scoring blades for these?

TIA,
Lisa

Do you have the one with the plastic rail? I hated mine like that because the plastic "gives" when you cut...never a straight cut. Then I got the Fiskars with the Metal bar and it is great. I have two of them because I truly wear them out with all the cards I make. Will soon be scouting for a new one again. You can get new cutting pieces and blades but I wear the numbers off of the measuring piece..lol
blessings. PS..Not sure about the scoring blades because I use my ScorPal to score.

*ugh* I'd never get another Friskas cutter .. I have yet to come across a good one. Wonky cuts and the blades go dull quite quickly. I agree with sprtchick - the metal edge cutters do seem better.

I have the fiskars 12 inch rotory cutter and I love it. You can purchase the scoring blade for it also.
