Alright, i'll be bold. Actually, it's really cute the way you did the cats! But I don't like the Happy Birthday. It looks unprofessional...just cut and slapped on an otherwise great card. I would have made it square, or at least matted it. Something other than just cut and pasted. There...hope that wasn't too brutal!
I don't have much of a gallery so there's nothing to look at to scorn. :p

I agree - I think I would have maked the saying in a squares shape and matted it. I love the cats though.
I like the colors, but I think it needs something...less of the colors, maybe. I would have gone with a more simple bow (narrower ribbon.) I think the embossing is nice, but perhaps embossing all the backgrounds images would have given the card a WOW factor or layering the whole card front would have made it pop too.

I agree - something was needed - I will try your suggestions later and see what I can come up with. Thanks!

I totally agree on the cat card, it was a while back and I am thinking I would have done it differently now.
The card with the bells: needs another color maybe to make it pop a bit more...pretty though! Don't ya love embossing!
The bug card: needs a background stamp maybe? also, either too uch ribbon, or all of the same ribbon (?)
Jeri: That is so pretty! I am a sucker for dafodils... it needs something though....behind the yellow maybe? not sure what, going to look again....
I think it is a cute card. Maybe mat the image. I would probably add some eyelets to the blank spot beside the image.
I am going to try and get some stamping in tonight...and re-do this card with the suggestions you all have made. We should post before and after pictures. I think HGTV has a show called Room Re-do...we can have Card Re-do!
Allison...IMHO...the organdy ribbon doesn't belong...this is a 'cute' card....and if it just had the gingham and the solid black thread....tied around the top....think it would be GRRRREAT!!!

I agree - probably won't be able to redo till tomorrow nap time - but will be sure to post the before and after.

Ok, here's mine. I'm posting this one b/c I really liked it, and thought others would too, but then whammo - no comments, so I was like, whoa...major bummer! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Judy - I think since everything is embossed in copper, matting the kitties in copper paper and making the happy birthday a square/rectangle would spiffy this card up.
Gina - I think you need a softer looking bow, and maybe stamping "love" on a neutral and matting on purple would have worked better to bring some balance to all that color
Allison - I think maybe matting the bugs would look nice, and not sure about the 3 types of ribbon...
Jeri- mat the image, use a background stamp on the purple and a softer looking ribbon (no trim on edge)

First, thanks for the advice on mine - can't wait to try some of the suggestions.
I really like the layout of your card, I think it needs some more color, IMO.

I like this card, but the brown gigham looks black on my screen. It does need a little accent color maybe. It;s very neutral looking. Is it a pocket card? If it is, the layout is great and the stamps are cute!

I agree - other than the title is looks great.

Jeri, I like everything about your card but the colors. Brown and yellow give me horrible flashbacks to the clothes I wore back as a young kid in the 70's. (I want to burn all the pictures!)

Consuelo,
It's definately brown gingham and it is a pocket card. I can see where an accent color might brighten it up. Many thanks.
I really liked this card alot and left a comment! It is no longer an orphan! A background stamp would give it that extra umph, but I personally don't think it needs it!
Kimberly: The only thing that camer to mind for me is that I would like the balance better of less strips and more green flowers. But that's a really minor thing.

musicmarth-
Nothing wrong with that card. The only thing I would change is the hemp up top. Maybe tie some colored ribbon on in a couple places. Or even a couple knots in the hemp.
