I just realized yesterday, that I rarely do anything exciting or different with my sentiments. I usally think about it when the card is almost done. This week's challenge is to do something different, interesting or exciting with the sentiment on your card to make it a little more special. For ideas....how about stamping over a shadow stamp, highlighting certain words in the sentiment, omitting words, attaching it an interesting way, shadowing the script....the sky's the limit. Can't wait to see all the great ideas you come up with...I'll be playing along tonight. Feel free to make as many cards as you like!
Please remember to put WT42 in your keywords section and post a link back here.

You have stamper's block because you're too excited about VSN!
I'll try to fit one in. But I'm in urgent need to clean up a space so I can work freely for VSN. LOL It's bad enough that I have to run up & down the stairs, but I need to be able to stamp in the same room as I keep all my stuff. Right now, I can't get to the table -- you mean there's a table in there????

My table is so messy, I've been stamping on the floor! I've got company coming today too and it is in the corner of the family room! Yikes! No stamping for me until tonight!
You girls are too funny about finding your way in your stamping area...I can totally relate, ha! I have my own little stamping corner now w/all my supplies near me, so I do not have to stamp on the dining room table any more. I love it...gotta put my thinking cap on for this week's challenge...thanks for making me go out of my element for this one!

BTW, just in case anyone is interested....I uploaded a list of the past Ways to Use it challenges for easy reference at the following link. I have no idea how to get it a sticky on it. Can anyone help with that?

Here is my first attempt at today's challenge...I have really struggled w/this one because it makes me think too hard??
I left the words off the kitty and used only 2 words of the sentiment "Too cute for words"...Also, this was my first time using safety pens w/a tag!!! Love that idea...
Thanks for looking and thanks for the challenge Julia!
Absolutely! This is a very "easy" challenge in that any idea you have for that product or challenge is great! Just get stamping...we love lots of ideas!
I took a break from cleaning to make one, but my camera battery went kaput, and is on the charger. I will upload when it's charged. I knew I was going to need to charge it before VSN, but I was hoping to get one more card in first. Back Later...
Julia, I really enjoyed this challenge. It was fun to pull out something different than just putting a little word or two on the front of a card. My inspiration was someone from a little while back who made a cute sentiment charm set hanging on the front of a card. I can't remember who it is or I would put a link to her card. Sorry. Whoever it is I just loved your idea.
I started looking down the forum after I posted and found my inspiration. Erika - Slprunning pulled her card out of the gallery from Dec 21 and brought to the challenge. Here is her link. It 's so cute. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I finally got my card uploaded after trying all night...who knows what is up with my server! I did get my desk cleaned up today but my company never arrived! She thought today was Wednesday...think of all the things I could have stamped! I really needed to clean instead anyways.
I needed a break from "pretty" so here is my "fun" card....
My camera is finally charged, I'm back from my son's band concert, so I uploaded my card. I eliminated on a sentiment from Espress Yourself and combined it with All About U to complete the sentiment. I loved the little vellum tuck in that we did for a New Year's challenge, so I used a piece that was handy, but I think it should have been bigger to accommodate the size of the tag, which says 'good for'. It took me quite a while to make this card because of all the extra little details, but I love how it turned out.
Ok, I took the challenge. I made the card. But now my computer won't let me upload it into my gallery. (That's why my gallery is STILL empty! ) So I'm going to try to post it here. Let's see if this works.
I took the plunge with my first 'challenge' card and did a duo. This is a color challenge card but I combined it with the ways to use it challenge for this week. I got this idea of switching out the curly parts of Birthday Best with the small script words when I first saw small script in the catty. This challenge made me actually get off my duff and do it! Thanks so much for getting me moving. Now I can't wait to do the same with the other images from these sets. I'll post if I do.

(Forgive the dark pic, my scanner was unavailable!)
It didn't work, but I want to let you know what I did!! I took the suggestion of attatching the sentiment in an interesting way and really ran with it. I used the front of the card for an image and on the inside I cut a window in the back of the card. I stamped a sentiment from my Sayings and Such set on that window, cut it down to just the size of the sentiment. I mounted that on a coordinating cs then again on the same cs. I then put eyelets in the corners of the frame around the window and in the sentiment piece and connected them with shiney paper twist material that I tied in tiny bows. I really wish I could show it to you. If anyone would like to see it, I can email it to you.

I'd LOVE to see it! Did you try re-sizing the image before trying to upload? It must be a max of 480x640 pixels to upload. I think there is also a thread on uploading cards somewhere...I'll have to look.
Well I was so excited about the combination of the Small Script with Birthday Best that I went nuts and made 3 very different versions of the combination. Feel free to check them out (hopefully not still pending).
