Has anyone else done any hand stitching or embroidery on their cards? I recently have started doing this on my cards and I am totally addicted! Just in the past week, I have made 4 hand stitched cards that I have posted on my blog. My mojo has been totally rejuvenated and I am having so much fun!
Patti and Kim, I think your cards are all amazing!
Stitching those images is pretty darn cool! I've never tried that and probably won't, lol. Looks too complicated to me. My Janome Sew Mini is my friend! ;)
I prefer to hand stitch over machine stitch. I am a fast stitcher and I find it relaxing. I love to machine sew. I have an embroidery machine I just never really could make cards that way. I keep threatening to buy a Janome Sew Mini though.
Wow Niki - Your blend of stitching and card making is just absolutely gorgeous! The Reading Flopsey card is just amazing and I LOVE what you did with the beads on the Baby Dress!
I was a cross-stitcher first and my early cards were just a way to get small pieces to family for birthdays, etc. I've uploaded some to my gallery...
Oh, and here's one more - a very recent one - that plays with thread, beads, and paper in a little bit different way. Can anyone say "Spirograph" or would I just be dating myself??
