Default Faux Postage - 39 cents

Does anyone have a revised template for the faux postage with 39 cents on it instead of the 37 cents? Postage increases next week.

It's easy to just change the 7 to a 9 and then save it

I saw someone had USA on their Faux Postage too, do you have to have the full Acrobat to do any of that?

At the bottom of the Faux Postage resource done by Beate, there is a variation template done in word....

"Your own template
Create your own template and the possibilities are endless with this technique. The downloadable template in this tutorial uses the Tables feature of Microsoft Word to create the grid pattern. If you'd like to try varying the one we used, you can download an editable version here. (Word doc, 40K)"

from past experience, I suggest you post the template here. That will help you with the email flood you're sure to get!

Boy, you got me worried about the Thank You cards I sent out today! I checked the USPS web site and the rate change takes effect January 8th, so you are okay.

Yep, Saturday is the last day you can mail at the .37 rate. Gave me the kick in the butt I needed to mail out the last of my Christmas cards today!

Go to the top of the page and click on resources. There you will see step by step instructions on how to use the templates listed under Faux Postage. It really does end up looking just like real postage!

Cassandra, I looked at your gallery. I'm very new to stamping. I love your "postage stamp" cards. How do you use the templates for stamps? It seems like a lot of cutting on the scalloped edges, so there must be a trick. I'm sooooooooooo new - still wet behind the ears. Thanx for any help.

Check under RESOURCES, Beate Johns has done a wonderful step by step for creating Faux Postage...

Her instructions say "Cut closely around your faux postage piece with a postage scissor."

Good Luck!!!

jmarion,

Thanks for saying! Faux Postage is one of my favorite techniques!

Just like redwood says, look under Resources. At the very, very top right of this page (and everypage at SCS) there are some links. Click on the "resources" one and scroll down (a little more than 1/2 way) until you see 'Faux Postage'. Beate has a FABULOUS tutorial that you can even print out and follow along step-by-step. That's how I learned.

Hope that helps you. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions!
