LSC 232 -I'm Hungry! Let's get something to STAMP! 8/7/09
LSC232 I'm hungry! Lets get something to STAMP!
Hey there, fellow Stampers!! Dawn is on a little vacation this week. Fun thing isDawn is actually coming by to visit me in real life today (Friday!) In preparation, she asked if I had any ideas for a Limited Supply Challengeand my idea met with her approval! ;) Since she is on the road, I am actually hosting this weeks challenge! WooHoo! I feel quite privileged, and more than a little nervous, so go easy on me!
I dont know about the rest of you, but in the Challenge Chaser crowd, we love our stampsbut we love food too! So, food is my inspiration! Here is your challengeit is two-fold:
First: Your card or project needs to have food/beverages as its main theme. You know, pretty tea cups, yummy cupcakes, tangy citrus. Or maybe a scene with friends sitting at a caf, or your favorite grill-meister in his element. Just think food!
That part is easy
Second: The real limit for you today is in the COLORS. You must only use colors that have edible names. Such as certainly celery, pumpkin pie, barely banana, creamy caramel.
Lots of retired Stampin Up colors fit the bill tookiwi kiss, true thyme, purely pomegranate. Get the idea? This means NO real red or night of navy! Leave your basic black behind and your baja breeze and sahara sand on the beach! Were talking edibles here!!
NowI guess there must always be exceptionsso using whisper white to stamp your images and sentiments on is quite alright! Of course very vanilla could get some extra attention today!
And for those lined images that you need to colorusing some black ink that wont smear is a given. But leave the black and gray out of your card stock choices!
For those who use non-SU card stockjust like the Tuesday color challenges, try to match up with the SU color palette as best as you can.
Oh what fun Kim! I'm going to be dreaming about food all night! Have fun with Dawn tomorrow and thanks for hosting!

This was fun. Ms. Boo has taken some of the fun out of the challenge by supplying all the names, because some of the fun is doing the brainstorming and brainwork for these challenges. Luckily I had already done my brainwork before I saw her list. Here's what I came up with:
