Default In search of Christmas DP

I am getting desparate! I've been to Michael's, Hobby Lobby, perused the SU IB&C and the new mini, and I've even been to all my favorite online stamping and scrapbooking stores.

My problem is that I can't find any Christmas DP I like. Everything is either muted and vintage (which I love, but which will not go with the stamps I've chosen for my cards this year) or feautres non-traditional colors like black with red.

Help! Where do ya'll go for Christmas DP? Is it too early? Am I just "not in the mood?"

Thanks in advance!

OOOOO -- I don't own any wheels, but that's great advice. (I was too clumsy with them and my paper always looked like it was rolled by a drunken stamper.)

Emma's Paperie has a couple of new My Mind's Eye DP lines just in. I placed a huge order tonight. Her service is fast and fabulous. Shipping is high, but I look at like she's saving me a ton of money on gas because I'm not driving all over heck and back looking for something that doesn't exist!!

Hope this helps!

If you want paper to make cards or general crafting, try printing your own from letteringdelights.com. They have a ton of new "paper pack" selections that are around $2 for each digital download. I have used PCCrafter.com as well for printable paper but because you are buying clipart as well, they tend to be much pricier. Have fun looking at their websites.

Around this time last year, I searched ALL of my local stores (including chains & mom/pops) because I was ready to do Christmas cards & wanted to get them out of the way.
I had NO LUCK whatsoever!
I ended up buying some DCDW split packages on ebay from 2008 and that sort of kept me going until the Christmas stuff FINALLY came out in October or so. By then, I was almost done with my Christmas cards but at least I have it for this year. (To date, I'm 1/4 done with Christmas cards - I need to make 75.)

I really wish that the distributors and stores would make Christmas papercrafting stuff available in the late summer like this. You would think they realize that many folks start this early because it takes so long! It's like they only put it out there for scrappers who would do Christmas pages around or after Christmas. It's very frustrating!

Anyway, best of luck! :-) And try ebay!

Here are a couple of free digital scrapbooking kits that might have some of what you're looking for:

Twas the Night

Joyful Tidings

If you decide to download these, she has them broken down into parts - so you'd only need to download the papers.

You might want to wat a few weeks if you can. The new Christmas lines are coming out now and were shown at CHA last week. So if you give it another few weeks, the online stores will start getting the new lines in.

Imaginisce has a new Christmas line Polar Expressions that I think is really nice & classic! Just picked it up at CKC convention.

Went to emmaspaperie and what a great web site. She has really good prices and I also shop on line because I do not have to keep running around looking for items I need. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the great advice! I'm going to be using the snowmen from "More the Merrier," the "Big on Christmas" set and "Dasher." Dasher lends himself to some vintage papers, but the other two don't -- or at least, I can't find any that look good.

I'm going to check out those websites ya'll shared and check back with my stores in a few weeks. JoAnn's is set to open here in a few months. I sure hope they carry DP.

Frantic Stamper has a lot of paper under the new products. Memory Box has come out with paper as well.
