What do you use to store and transport your Nestabilities? I know a lot of people have some pretty awesome storage systems they've created for within their stamp spaces, but do you have something portable you can share? And preferably something you created on your own, not a purchased system. I'm looking for cost-effective!
I manage a stamping store, so I carry a lot of stuff back and forth with me everyday as I work on things at home, too. I made up a 3-ring binder awhile back, and applied large magnets to some EZ Mount mounting boards, then slip the boards into plastic sleeves to transport my Nesties. However, this is getting quite full and heavy, so I thought I'd see if anyone has anything better than this? If I could, I'd just throw them all in a Ziploc bag, but then they'd get bent!

My system is very simple & portable. I used the magnet roll for the Xyron 510 machine. I had thin chipboard squares that I ran thru the Xyron to give the magnet a little more stability. I cut them big enough to hold one set or a half set of nesties, depending on how the shape fit. Then I just punch a hole in the corner of all the sheets with cropadile, then hooked a large binder ring. So the nesties stay in place on the magnetic background, and they are easy to flip thru like a little book. I only have like 10 sets, so its not that big, but if you had more I guess you could break it up by shape. I also put them in order with the basic shape followed by its scalloped counterpart b/c i usually use both at a time. this way i don't have to figure out which sizes go together. You could def make it fancier by using bigger pieces of chipboard and have two sets on one sheet and punch more holes for binder rings, or label the sheets, etc.
I don't know if this will help you or not, but I use clear cd cases to store mine. I put magnet sheet cut down to fit inside on both sides of the inside of the cd case. I can fit two sets of Nesties in one case. I store my cases in a cd rack for home use, but you can get those lidded plastic totes with handles on them from Walmart to transport.

Yep same thing here, but wish it was with a magnetic sheet inside mine instead of magnetic strips. The sheets seem to me would hold them more securely. Mine slip a bit, but still stay inside the case.

Hi Barb! Now that's a thought... I had been using CD cases, but they kept breaking. If I just did a tote, then I could even just leave them in the car and only carry them in at work if I needed them! Hmmm... I think I see a trip to Wal-Mart after work today!

I had small sheets (business card size) in the ones I used before, and they didn't always hold as well either. I think if I decide to try this system again, I'll buy sheets and cut them to size.
I keep mine in square CD tins in a drawer - one for circles, one for ovals, etc. I can grab one or more tins when I am on the go... Some of the misc sets I have two sets in a tin.
Spellbinders had some adorable totes at CHA...don't know if they are available yet, but they looked awesome...especially if you travel with them. Me, I use the Gina K Binder Boxes. I just stick my magnetic tape to the white boards and they stay perfectly and can't fall out since the binder boxes have a latch to keep them closed.
I bought a cd case (a soft one with a zipper around the edge) and some magnet sheets from Wal-Mart.
I cut the magnet sheets to the size of the cd pocket and put my Nesties on the magnet in the pocket.
I like it because I can easily flip through and see the sets I have (I only have about 6...right now). It's also easy to store and would be easy to tote along.
Location: Virginia, where we have the beach and mountains all in one state!!

DITTO on Gina K Binder Boxes for my nesties!! Love this system. Small/Compact. You can fit alot of nesties in one binder. Small enough that the weight does not carry the impact a regular size binder does. It's all enclosed so nothing slips out. Ok I'll stop because I could rattle on!! Just love this binder system.
I use the double sided fabric tackle storage from Bass Pro Shop or I think Walmart may even sell them. The outside is a nylon fabric with a zipper and the inside holds about 20 heavy duty ziplock compartments. (You can purchase more) My nesties fit in them perfectly and I can see them with ease as I flip through the binders. Works for me!

I have the Spellbinders Die Carry Case and it works great. There are even refill pages so you can add more. But I just use that for when I take my dies somewhere.
I think I need those Gina K Binder boxes for all my unmounted stamps though! Those look cool!
You can put magnets on either side and fit an two sets in there. PLUS if you want to fit more in, put a sheet in between with magnets on either side to fit another two sets in. They're pretty sturdy.
I use a 5 x 7 photo album. I adhered a magnetic sheet to a piece of chipboard to fit the pocket and each pocket holds a set. Doesn't take much room and easy to carry.

I used to use CD cases but found that as my Nesties collection grew . . . and grew . . . and grew . . . that I was running out of space and found them a bit cumbersome to get out of the cases when I needed them.
I read, here on SCS, a suggestion and loved it. Unfortunately, I can't find the person who suggested it but it was a GREAT idea and I love it. (EDIT . . . found the thread . . . Forums at Splitcoaststampers)
I bought a Small Power Sort box from Creative Memories and extra divider sheets. The divider sheets are plastic and very sturdy. I put a 4x6 magnet sheet (bought them at JoAnn's with coupons over time and at Pat Catan's) and stick my Nesties right on it. I'm able to store a lot of Nesties in a very little space.
The Power Sort Box has three small removable compartments inside so I can sort my Spellbinders down even a bit more than just "Spellbinders." I have most of my Nestabilities (Geometric shapes) in one; Misc. Shapes (like butterflies and flowers) in another; and then Misc. (like the Impressionabliities, Tags, etc.) in the third. The lid to the box just sits on top, but it has elastic bands that secure to buttons on the box.
I have more Nestabilities than I care to admit to my DH all in one small (but kinda heavy) box. It's easy to get to and easy to put away. I love this system and will see if I can find the original post to give her the credit.

I was going to do something fancy like putting magnetic tape strips on the insides of my cabinet doors, but ended up just putting them on pieces of magnetic sheets and storing them in individual envelopes in an open plastic box on my desk. My system doesn't have to be portable, because I don't take them anywhere.
