AHHH! Please Help!
Hi everyone! I just had a party and earned $50 in free goodies. The problem? I can't figure out what I want. I've been in the cattie for at least an hour now (pathetic I know). What are some things you love, can't live without, etc? It can be stamps, ink, paper, whatever! Please help me decide!!! Thanks!!!

Whenever I've had "free goodies" I usually choose either one or two pricy items or a bunch of consumables/embellishments (replacement blades for trimmer, adhesive, ribbon, buttons, specialty paper - I love Shimmery White, maybe envelopes in a size you don't usually use so you can try different card sizes, glitter, beads. I personally like to have a reinker for each pad I own so perhaps that might be something to consider.)
Congrats on a great party and I hope you'll share your choice.
Happy Crafting!

Congrats on an awesome workshop. I always have trouble spending my free $$ too. I usually go for a more pricey set that every time I use it I can smile remembering it was FREE!

Congratulations! Sounds like a really nice problem. I'm dreaming on here... I'd use it for different types of mediums like get a couple more of those fantastic dabbers and maybe a few new colors of crackle paing. Have you seen what Jennifer McGuire has done with these products? Wow! And finally get ink pads in different shades - not only brown, but coca, coffe, cappuccino (you get it...)
AAAaaand I'd finally get one of those fantastic border punches!

When I have hostess money to spend, if there isn't a stamp set that is calling my name, I use it to purchase the stuff I go through a lot--cardstock in my go-to colors, designer paper, ribbon. Do you have a mat pack? THey are VERY handy. Dimensionals, brads, stampin mist, inkpads or markers in colors you use most often....wheels.....you get the idea;

I love the new In Colors so I would probably get some of the items that didn't make my spending list. After that I'd get fun embellishments I'm not supposed to be buying (cause technically they're free). And then it would be the basics because you can't do much if you run out of those.

Punches are a great way to spend money fast :-). I agree with the "consumables" -- designer series paper, the new pretties kit that is on super duper sale right now, the new in color markers.... I love and use my blender pens and watercolor pencils lots. If you're well stocked on consumables think "tools" (like punches or stamp-a-ma jig, etc.etc.) OR try something you might not normally purchase but want to give it a try --
rub-ons, chip board, chunky glitter. I think I could spend $50 free merchandise about 3 times over and not run out of options :-) -- Grins!!!

i LOVE Stampin Ups ultrafine detailed embossing powder. i would also invest in a clear Versamark pad, and maybe two nesting punches. And a really nice sentiment set... one wit verses, like you see on the inside of a card..... Am i at $50 yet LOL?

Oh what a great problem to have! Congratulations on a great workshop. I usually suggest to my customers - get something you have been looking at but would not spend the money on. If you don't have something like that - my next suggestions is embellishments and Designer Series Paper! Most of my customers (me included) are usually concentrating on stamps, ink and cardstock when making regular purchases and don't spend the money on embellishments (i.e. ribbon, hardware (deal of the week is a great set), etc) and Designer Series Paper!
This is a great week to take advantage of the Hodgepodge hardware - Vanilla set - nothing is better than a sale! get more for your buck!

I always get something I would love to have but am too cheap to spend my own money on. One time I got water color crayons (LOVE them!) and one time I got the crafters tool kit. good luck!

If it were me...I would choose a stamp set from my wish list...something I've really wanted but thought was too much money...and then use the rest for cardstock and smaller accessories that always seem to get used up...

what a "problem" to have!
I would get a few dies. I'm really trying hard not to place an order before I can use the mini also in September, but the scalloped envelope is calling, no, shouting, my name! Someone from SCS was so nice and sent me a few of these envelopes when I wondered about how big they really were. I lost them on my craft desk (hard to believe, but true! My little leaves die never did resurface!) for a while and just made a card with them yesterday! Wow! The possibilities!!

The Decision has Been Made!!
Hi everyone! Thanks so much for your input on my choices. I know everyone has different opinions, but it really did help a lot. Made me think of some things I had had never considered.
So here is the final outcome:
I got the texturz plates. The backgrounds one.
The curly label punch. I ended up getting the level 2 christmas punch. I purchased all the other punches in my order and still needed this one. I SO LOVE this stamp set! I can't wait to play!!
And then, at first I really didn't like it, but so many people have done such awesome work......I got the Medallion background!! Something I didn't really consider.
And to close out the final amount I went with the Razzleberry stamp pad. I purchased the markers and the paper sample to see if I would like or love the new colors, but I already know I love the Razzleberry!
Thanks again for all your inputs!!!

i agree with stampbug i usually use my free $$ to get a stamp set or longer lasting items with some consumables cause then i always have one item after consumables are gone to look back to and say was free and cause it isn't hard for me to go thru adhesives, papers, and glitters last time i ordered i bought craft spots with my free dollars with the new glitter cause i wanted more ink options now i have the whole family in classic or craft. but that's what i mean by longer lasting items i could spend hundreds on SU and not be sure what all i got... oh well happy shopping and hope u find something you can spend you $$ on
