Default big shot extender pads w/cuttlebug

Hi! I just wondered if anyone knows if you can use the big shot extending pads, crease pads, etc with the cuttlebug? I use all of my SU dies with the CB but CB does not have extender pads for the bs xl dies. Anyone know?
Thanks!

The pads are just a tad too wide to fit in the Cuttlebug. However, I have the Sizzix BigZ Scallop Card die (which calls for the BigZ XL Cutting Pad) but I just use it without. The die will "just" fit into my Cuttlebug, width-wise but...I have to put it in twice with the Cuttlebug plates (because they are too short) - first one end, turn it around and then the other end, then I just fold it by hand - no big deal. I guess it depends on where the fold is whether this will work for you or not. Mine is just a card so I can fold it in half.

check out accucut.com, i bought the extended plates and mats 5x15, works great with the xl dies in the cuttlebug! you can get the 10x15 mat and trim to fit the width of xl die too. I use the clear plastic cutting plate (replaces B plate), cs, then purple cutting mat. works like a charm....great with the creases too!

Ohhh, Gail, thanks for the info on Accucut's plates and mats. I've been trying to figure out if there was a way to shave Sizzix's plates down to size and not coming up with anything. This will solve that dilemma.

Just curious, gail, are you also using accucut dies in the cuttlebug...do they work? They have some really cute dies but I'm not sure I want to invest the $$$$ for their machine!

Gail, how many clear plates do you use in the cuttlebug? Do you use 2 plates and the mat or do you use 3 plates and the mat? I'm wondering how many to buy.

Thanks for your help!!

They are commercial grade, like school districts buy them for teacher to use, etc.
Accucut dies not meant for personal machine use. The clear plastic plates are $6 a pair, the purple mat is around $6 (?).

Gail, thanks for this info. I just ordered them and got free shipping (good in the U.S. 48 contiguous)! Wahoo!! There were other special shipping offers but since they didn't apply to me, I'm rather fuzzy on the details. For anyone else thinking about it, they said the special was good until August 3. Be sure to put the code in that they give you The only draw back that I could see was that they expect to send them out in 7-10 days - a little long but I can wait Thanks again, Gail.

Can someone be a bit more specific about what I need to purchase. I went to the web site and not sure what to search for I guess so if you can let me know I would greatly appreciate it. I want some of the bigger dies but don't want to invest in another machine besides my Cuttlebug if I don't have to. Thanks for the help!!

The dies on the Accucut site are commercial dies. They will not fit in your Cuttlebug.

What we've been discussing are the plates and pads/mats to use in a Cuttlebug for Sizzix BigZ XL dies that you can buy in your craft stores, and I believe, but don't quote me, lol, in S.U. catalogs.

I have a Cuttlebug and I wanted to use the Sizzix BigZ XL dies, but the Cuttlebug plates are too short. So if these are the kinds of dies you will be using, then Accucut has the [Cutting Plastic - 5"x15" Cutting Plastic Sheets] and the [Cutting Mat - 5"x15"] that they use for their commercial machines and will also fit the Cuttlebug which is 6" wide. HTH

They are interlocking metal plates....I'm going to try to post a photo of the one I have. If it doesn't work I'll put it in my gallery.
