I have found myself checking in so many times a day it is not even funny. I have done 5 loads of laundry in the past 2 days so that if my DH asks I can tell him I'm switching loads since my computer is next to the laundry room. (even if it means I am really turning the dryer on!)
I can find any and every excuse to stop and log-in.
So, is anyone having enough self-control to limit themsleves, or are you not even bothering to try?

i dont even log off anymore.. i just minimize it and come back every fifteen minutes or so and hit refresh and read if it sounds interesting. it is addicting. i used to make fun of my dh for being addicted to his forum, and a year later.. he is laughing at me now...
but at least he understands.. and has no prob with it.. however.. he is talking about getting a second computer so he can have his back...
My husband has his laptop, and I have the desktop computer. My stamping area and computer are in the same room. We have DSL. I have this site up 24-7... :-) Everytime I sit down at the computer, I hit refresh to see what's going on! :lol:
In fact, I keep reading it right now instead of going to the grocery store for dinner supplies... :-)

I too am addicted. I now check at least once an hour--and even then I feel like I'm missing something. Thanks to all of you at SplitCoast, this is my absolute favorite site.
I have to admit that I check it quite often. Every chance I get to...LOL! Most of the time I just leave it on and refresh, but when I accidently shut it down, I don't have to worry about it...it's set as my home page. :lol:

I'm on here more that I'd like to admit. A few nights ago after I had been on this site real late I told myself that I would stop getting on as much, but then first thing in the morning I was on here. It's like I have no self control. It's scary really!
Minimum of 5-6 times a day. Minimum. Probably more like about 10 times during the working day, and of course before I get to work, and after....it's kinda sad, but really fun...in a SKW...LOL..(Stampin' Kinda Way)......

OH MY GOODNESS! I think that I spend more time here than I do doing anything else! Since I found this site I have been totally addicted. It is like Chocolate! Once you have it you always want more!
I find myslef having to say "Better get to that laundry" So I rush in there do some laundry and run back to the computer! :oops:
At least I have caught up on my emails while waiting for someone to type in the next subject!!!
Sad! I wake up, and the office/stamping room is right next to the kids' bedrooms. I have to come and and check scs right off. Then get them up and out of bed. I drive to work. Click on scs before I log on to my work software. It stays up most all of the day. Log off, drive home, and hang a left after I walk in the front door. Check again. Sometimes make dinner. Then it's back here while the kids are in the bath, or if my husband is working on something else. And again before bed. Sometimes if I can't sleep, it's back here again. Obsessed!
5-6 times????? Then, I must be REALLY bad! Minimum.... 20 times per day! How am I going to last on vacation? I'm sure I'll be laying on the beach wondering what new posts have come up or what pretty pictures have been displayed!!!!
I thought the fact that I'm new to this site accounted to checking it 4 or 5 times a day, but noooooooo. Looks like I'm in trouble, this may just be the beginning! I'm always finding something new, love it, love it, love it.... :lol:
Okay.........I have checked this site sooooo much today, that I literally just got done eating my first meal of the day, at 3:30pm this afternoon!!! Sheesh!!
Well......I guess between stamping, and this website I'll be SKINNY in no time - HAAAA!! Hmmmmm, should we call it the "Splitcoaststampers All Rubber- No Fat Diet"? Move over Atkins and Southbeach.........
Or.....how bout "Stamp Away the Pounds?" Okay....that addresses my upper arms and body. Do you think if I put a rubberstamp between my knees and SQUEEZE that will work like the thigh master for my butt??

I wonder if this is a trick question.....
I am so addicted. I check this site all the time. And if I haven't checked it for an hour or so...I get all jumpy and NEED to get on to get my fix. It gets so bad that even when I have company (that stays for a while) I have to sneak in here to take a peek. When I go to the grocery store...I just get my bags unpacked and then have to check what has happened.
But I can blame it on having to help upload. That's why Jenn is on here so often too. Right Jenn? LOL

LOL!! I keep it on SCS! I have a desktop and a laptop (that is being a pain at the moment). I just refresh SCS off and on many, many times a day!! DSL and 4 computers at home sure make it nice!!! LOL!
I wish I could leave mine up 24/7 but got dial up :( so can't do that. Out here in the country can't get cable/dsl so gotta get what I can so can keep checking as often as i can. Which is at least every hour unless I have something that really has to get done... laundry is one thing, hubby threatened to cut me off if I can't keep his clothes clean for the barn!! they just get dirty again anyway!! hehehehehe :lol:
I have to check every 2 hours or so. Unless I'm napping. Then it's before I go to sleep & when I wake up.
Kar, didn't you tell your hubby my hubby's idea? You can wear undies for 4 days his way. Frontwards, backwards, turn inside out & repeat. I have so much more stamping time now! :twisted:
I too have dial up, so must disconnect each & every time. Next week I get cable internet, so watch out, I'll be on 22/7. I have to sleep sometime.

We only have dial up and one phone line. It's a good thing no one ever calls anyhow. lol Well, besides, dh. During school tho, I try to get on early morn and late evening. More phone calls then. Oh how I wish we had cable or dsl Too much money and that would leave me with very little stamp and scrap money. Can't do that. lol

My husband is starting to get a little concerned because I keep talking about my "internet friends!" I've always had a lot of friends in my life, but only a couple of them stamp . . . and not nearly as often or as much as I do, but in "my little internet world" all my friends like to stamp and most of them as often and as much as me! It makes my world much more warm and cozy to know all of you!
Hi..My name is Lynn and I'm an addict. A Splitcoaststamper addict. I've had this site in my favorites for quite some time but just recently started looking at it. I've CASED so many cards in the last two weeks. I'm totally addicted. I'm afraid to look at any more set examples other than the ones I alread own or I'll want to...wait..HAVE to have those sets, too.
I love to check all the new additions and write posts, just to see what "title" I get next! (i love seeing all the new creations.)I even have a migraine right now...but I'm on the computer anyways! K :]
I'm addicted too... I check every couple hours at least when at work during the day, then I check right before bed...(like now)....it's 9:30 here in NY and my husband is right here asking if I'm talking to people I don't know again.... What does he know... LOL!! Good night ladies- I will be checking first thing in the morning when I get to work tomorrow to see what everyone's come up with!!!

I am fairly new to the site but I am totally addicted. It is the first site I check in the morning. My kids now know I set them down for lunch and it is my turn to check what I have missed so far. I also have to check after they are all tucked in. I would be on more often but I have 3 under the age of four and I like my house too much.
I found a gift last night I wanted to make my nieces. We had to go to church so I did not get it finished. I left the page open so I could finish when I returned. Well, during church we had a tornado go through and we lost electricty unil 2:00 this morning. I was so worried that I would not find the instructions again. I will be using the favoites button more often now.
P.S. damage minimal and project found and completed!
I'm as bad as the rest of you. It's on my PC 24/7 & I hit refresh at least a million times each day (o.k. that might be a bit of an overstatement). I just love this site & find I'm here more than anywhere else on the web. I was on vacation last week and only had access to a PC 3 times to check email; I went thru serious withdrawal! I'm on here at least twice a day. The kids get ornery if I don't let them have some time on the computer. We only have dial up and only one line so my teen agers get really upset if they can't have phone time. It's such a bummer! Don't they realize that after all of the cooking and washing and taxi driving that SCS is the little gift I give myself? Besides stamps and ink and paper and embellishments......Where else can you hang out with your buddies? I love you guys! ---Kim

Being a temporary SAHG, I check 1st thing in the A.M., and wayyyyy too many times throughout the day when possible. It started out so innocently! You know, once every couple or 3 days, then at least once a day, but then that grew - a lot! :shock: I do manage to enjoy periodic rocking privileges and stamping as often as possible!
So glad we're not alone!!

I have only been a member for a week or two and I am already addicted. I couldn't believe the instant responses I got to my first posts. It's such an instant gratification. And it's soooo great to see new uploads by the minute!

OHMYWORD! That means that sweet Elijah is home, doesn't it, Beverly?! Congratulations to you all. That sweet little baby has been in my thoughts and prayers, and will continue to be. Keep tight hold on him! They grow from itty bitty to "Mom, not in front of my friends!" so quickly!
Well, the 'rocking' privileges DID mean, little James (12 weeks).
BUT.............'Itty Bitty' went home Thursday afternoon!!!!!!
I'm lobbying for new rocking privileges!!
