Just joined the PARTY!
I've been lurking here for a few weeks now, and I just could'nt STAND IT any longer!! I just HAD to join this PARTY!!!
My name is Stacy.......and I'm a STAMPAHOLIC!! There.......I said it!! (Does the 12-step program for my "problem" involve being cured with chocolate???) LOLOLOLOL!!
I live in Oregon (love it here!!) with my wonderful hubby of 14 years, Darryl, and my groovy kid, Kyle, who will be 12 this August. Currently, I'm a SAHM, and a fulltime medical transcription student. I plan to graduate this fall, and look forward to transcribing from home. The more I type, the more money for stamps, I figure - ha!!
I've been stamping for almost 8 years now, and honestly.....I used to be a CTMH demonstrator for about a year, almost 3 years ago. While my upline was wonderfully creative, her interpersonal skills and support were lacking. So....feeling lost, I decided to end my business. I am absolutely AMAZED at the support system here at Splitcoast!! You guys are AWESOME!! Someday......when my student loans and budget are more managable, I will definitely consider becoming a demonstrator with Stampin Up. In the meantime, I feel honored to be able to meet all of you, to see your beautiful creations in the gallery, and to feel the warmth of your enthusiasm for each other, and for stamping. Thank you for that!!
I can't wait to here more about you! Feel free to post something about yourself.
Chocolate hugs and stamping wishes,
Stacy

Welcome Stacy,
Always nice to have another Oregonian on. If you haven't read it yet, down the page is a topic called "I feel like a stalker" lots of people told a little more about themselves there.
Welcome! Prepare to kiss your free time goodbye! This place is really addictive.
Edited to ask: Do you like my hat?

I like your hat! I used to collect hats . . . until the day of the Monica and Bill scandal.
People often approached me after that claiming I look JUST LIKE HER!!!!
I coulda puked. I put the hats in storage and never looked back--specially my berets . . . sigh . . .
I'm from Whidbey Island, WA Stacy! Welcome--be prepared to get sucked in . . . you'll never escape, I'm afraid . . .

Hi Stacey- Welcome to the best stampin site EVER (say it like Chandler from Friends) LOL! There are SO many knowledgeable and helpful people here, it's great! Now, if I could just be as creative as Gina, Jenn, Beate, Lana...life would be good. Now, you have MORE things you can procrastinate with LOL! Happy Stampin!

Welsome to this site Stacy! You'll be addicted just like the rest of us. This site TOTALLY ROCKS!! It is the BEST PLACE EVER for stampers everywhere! Of course, the ONLY way you'll fit in is by checking-in several times a day, buying new packs of underwear when laundry day comes around, have a direct-dial to any food delivery place for dinner, have plenty of videos/dvds on hand for your children's viewing pleasure, a refresh button that works very well on your computer and some music, any kind of soft drink of your choice and plenty of chocolate. So pull-up a chair, sit back and relax--gaze at and admire all the beautiful artwork on display in the gallery; learn a few things from the tutorials and get ready for a few chuckles from the various forums/chats! Have fun and HAPPY STAMPING!

Velma,
I'll just say that I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read your post...because I'd have gotten it all over my monitor... ;)
I love this place. Is that not obvious? I think I bumped my title up a few times TODAY ALONE! I'm not savioring each one like I should... ;)

Stacy...I'm GLAD you found us!
This is a TERRIFIC place to find support and encouragement and you can case the gallery any time day or night!
I just joined SU last month and am having fun while I learn ALL about stamping. I just fell in love with EVERYTHING about SU! Now I've pushed my bedtime back an hour or two every night so I can stamp while the kiddos and hubby are all sleeping.
Sounds like if you do ever decide to take the plunge, there are quite a few local gals already that would be HAPPY to help support you and show you everything.
Have a blast here and someday, I'll bet they'll HAVE to start a 12 step message board for stampaholics. LOL
ENJOY!
Cindy

Stacy --- Welcome to the party!! As you already know this is the best site for SU stuff. The gallery is the BEST!!! I don't have much of my own creative site -- so I CASE everything!! (shhh - don't tell).
And Julie -- Here's a little Monica & Bill tidbit. My first daughter was due in June '99 - right after the scandel. We had "Monica" as the name picked out for a girl. I said no way no how can we name her that. But, to make a long story short our 2nd DD was born in 2002 and we named her Monica (I just love that name). All the Monica jokes had died down by then and I thought we would be safe. :o So, you can probably bring out all your hats again too and be safe.

You all continue to amaze me with your kindness! Thanks sooooo much again, for the VERY warm welcomes!
This website is soooooo addicting! Funny story: My husband and I just got back from a romantic anniversary weekend at the Oregon coast. I went into the hotel gift shop, and there were 2 rubberstamps and an ink pad. My hubby about FLIPPED, thinking we were actually "getting away" from rubberstamps for the weekend - heeee!!! Then....later that night I dreamt about SCS and Stampin Up stamps!!! Shhhhhhh.....don't tell my hubby! LOLOLOL!
He really is supportive of my addiction, though. As IF he had any choice - HAAAAA!! Love me.......love my stamps!!
