Default If SU did THIS, I would be a BIG customer...

... they came out with more companion stamp sets for their punches! Definitely more sets that work with their existing punches, but adding more punches would be fine too. I can't tell you how much I enjoy using my scallop square punch with my scallop edge stamps. Same with my Curly punch/stamps. What a great way to easily create a beautiful tag or embellishment!

Anyone else with me on this?

What about the Oval All set to use with the scallop oval punch. And they also have a new set coming that coordinates with a sizzlet set. I'm looking forward to that one.

I love stamps with matching punches. I think it was one of the smartest things SU did.

One of the new hostess sets works with the punches.
Christmas Punch (hostess) by suespms at Splitcoaststampers
I am going to write to SU and let them know how much I like this set and that I would like to see more stamp sets to go with punches in the future.

There is a thread on SCS, on the demo side, so I don't know if I'm allowed to post it here or not. But it is a two page long word document listing the punches and the sets that fit w/them. SU doesn't always "advertise" that their punches fit their stamps but most of them do fit something.

Yep -- the snowflakes in the new L2 tag stamp set fit the Boho Blossoms punch!

If the document is meant to encourage customer sales, I don't see why it can't be publicly posted, pretty please. :-D

I, personally, would love to see this list!

I would like to see this list, too!
If it is not for the public and just for demos, I'd like to know why...seems odd to me as I think it would be great for marketing!

I made a punch template by cutting card stock into vertical strips and punching several of my different punches in it. Then I use this template as I flip through the catalog to see if any of the sets I like will work with the punches I have.

Thanks, Stef, for directing us to this list!...And thank you to 'Somertime' for all her work in preparing it! Although she states that it is not a complete list (& appears to be from 10/200, it is QUITE EXTENSIVE! :-)

...I'm still curious about Stampin' Up!'s official list though...

Thanks for the link StefTx!

I think it's great to have punches match up with stamps - as though I need another reason to buy more punches or stamps ;)

The number 8 followed immediately by a parenthesis is the HTML code for that particular emoticon... ;)

Yes, I do!

Thanks, Rachel, for the mini HTML lesson! I wish I knew HTML better, but I guess not enough to really learn it! LOL So, I'll stand around and look !!

I'm sorry for the confusion about my earlier post. What I meant was that I was not the person who had originally posted and I didn't want to anger someone by copying & pasting something that the OP had put on the demo side. Again, I'm sorry; I was typing quickly w/the help of a 3 year old.

Can you guys ever forgive me?

Aw, no need to apologize, babe! As I can attest personally, misunderstandings happen all the time on this board! ;)

No forgiveness needed...as no apology was needed!

I think I misunderstood that the 'list' was from SU! and now I see that it must be the same list that 'somertime' made!

I think it would be a great idea for SU! to include a 'symbol' (or something) in the catalog next to stamp sets indicating what SU! punches could be used with the set though. It was stated that they don't always "advertise" that, but I think it would be great for marketing. Even if they just kept an updated spreadsheet on their website for download would be awesome.

For now, it's fun for me to be checking out the list 'somertime' made...it's making me consider more SU! punches and some of the sets...That's a good thing, right?! LOL

I love the punch/set partnership too. If I can figure it out, I might even be tempted to buy the movers and shakers in the new catalog. Same idea just bigger (I think).

I absolutely agree!! I think it would be awesome for marketing!

I really don't have many SU punches, but it does make me wonder what punch would be most versatile with the sets that I do have.

I totally agree with you, please everyone who has voiced their opinion on this thread, go to the Stampin Up email posted above and give them your opinions directly because they really do listen, and odds are that if there is something you want, others want it too. A good example is that this year they are finally having the in-colors in markers. Most of my customers have been requesting this and can't wait to order them. Great thoughts by everyone. Maybe if we keep requesting, they will post a list that we can download on the stamp/punches coord.

I always thought it would be cool to have a petal punch to coordinate with Pick A Petal.

I just ordered the Movers and Shapers Curly Label die after I realized it will cost $10.00 more in the new catty. This way I can think of it as saving $10.00 that I can use to buy the Movers and Shapers movable pieces after July 1st. I'm quite excited to try out this die.

I just finished sending MY email to SU!...Thanks, row4d, for posting the info.
I think they would see an increase in sales if ever such a list was maintained and offered by SU!

For now, it's fun for me to be checking out the list 'somertime' made...it's making me consider more SU! punches and some of the sets...That's a good thing, right?! LOL
You are SOOOO right. I can just imagine the $$$ I'd spend if I had little icons next to the stamps I could buy to go with my punches and vice versa. I love my Cuttlebug, but perfect stamp/punch combinations would win out every time. ;) ... and if you make it easier for lazy people like me, well, you really can't go wrong!

Ditto on the symbol idea; too bad it's too late for the 2009-2010 catalog. In fact, I'm surprised some demos haven't requested this. I've been asking my demo for this information (in list form) for about a year now - I told her I couldn't be the only one.

It seems like they have discontinued so many of the coordinating stamp sets for the punches, I hope there are more in the new catalog.
I would think that they would be big sellers.

Last year I bought the big star punch when it was featured with a stamp set with stars, but only one of the stars worked with the punch. I was quite put out, but last month PTI issued a new stamp set with tons of stars and they ALL fit the SU star punch.
