How do gallery uploads disappear?

I uploaded a picture of Snowman Soup last night and received an email confirming that it was successful upload. There is a link in my email where I can click to see the picture, but it comes up saying no photo found in database. The photo is also not displayed in my gallery. Do I just need to re-upload the picture? Does anyone know why this happens? This has happened to me twice in the last couple of days.

Make sure that BEFORE you upload your picture, you change the generic file name assigned by your camera or scanner to something unique. Otherwise, it will be deleted when the SCS crew scans the gallery for duplicate images. I usually use something like "stampsetname_row4d001" to ensure that my file name is completely unique. Including your screen name in the file name is also very useful to anyone who may download the image to their computers for CASEing at a later date -- they can easily see at a glance whose card it was when they want to give credit!

Jenn has posted a very helpful sticky (I think it's in the Announcements section) that has a set of guidelines to follow when uploading to the gallery.
