Really?!?!? I don't have any Nesties, but I'm wondering if Quickutz cookie cutters would work as well. Does anyone know how the depth of the Nestie cutting plates compares to those of QK?
I have used cheapy felt in my Cuttlebug with Nesties. I had to run it through a few times, but it worked. However, once I used the Wizard, it was slick as can be!!
I did pick up some adhesive backed felt from Wal Mart the other day and it cut beautifully with the scalloped heart Nesties and the Wizard. It only came in red, white, black, and a hunter green at my Wal Mart.
I cut the felt that is sold at Michael's...I did not try anything else (I don't have anything else) but you guys should give it a try with other felts...let me know what the results are!!!
I used my Nestabilities and Big Shot to cut the felt flowers I used on this project. So easy and really cute! I used inexpensive felt from the kids craft section at Joann--nothing fancy. I'm definitely going to pick up some more felt in different colors so I can make my own coordinating embellishments.
The Spellbinder dies are so thin it never would have occurred to me to try and cut felt with them! I just got a big haul of templates, on sale at Marco's Paper and several from Overstock

I'm off to try and cut a ton of felt flowers--those new dies are really clever.
Fun Foam works just great in the 2x2 QK. And if you find yourself in the midst of a school project, such as designing a flag = () it is much, much much easier to do it with fun foam than with felt. Trust me. And fun foam takes staz-on ink and sharpie pens, which felt won't.
SU--or any other that I have tried, which is a lot--of punches do not cut felt. Wish they did. Buying SU's felt flowers that coordinate with their punches are so expensive. If anyone can figure out a way to punch felt--let us know. I even tried putting wax paper on the felt to try to help it glide through the punch and it made no difference. After I sharpen my punches with tin foil then use wax paper to help paper "glide" when punched, I thought it was worth a try. Pam
I totally agree that punches and felt do not pair well together. I highly recommend the Big Shot and the dies that go with it. So far, I have cut lightweight plastic, felt, and fun foam-and all came out beautiful with just one pass through the machine. The fun foam has been a fav of my girls (ages 4 and 8 ). They love doing the "big girl" craft thing with mommy. "Give it a shot", you'll enjoy the results. (and yes I did intend a pun;) )

Lisa.....The BigShot or BIGkick will cut through any material that you can cut with regular scissors. I've cut everything with my BIGkick.
The Nestabilities can cut through many different materials even though they are very thin. It's the compression of the machine and the sharpness of the dies that work together to do the job.
I bought a package of felt w/ sticky backs @ Michaels and tried to cut it w/ "Blossom" Nestabilitie and my Cuttlebug and no luck! Did I buy the wrong type of felt? Should I have bought reg. thin felt pieces? Also I tried some "fun foam" w/ Nestie in my CB and it worked, but not much of an impression. I think the "fun foam" I purchased was too cheap. Can someone please advise me on which type of "felt" and "fun foam" to buy. Also should I stick with using only Cuttlebug dies? I'd love some helpful tips.

I have cut this type of felt with the Big Kick with out a problem, never tried the foam though!
