PM'd you Linda.

Spoke to Jimmy last night. They now believe the source of the infection started as Ecoli in her colon weeks or maybe even a month ago. Because the shunt has a drain that goes into the colon, the bacteria Ecoli was able to 'walk' up the tube to infect her brain as well, which could then cause a bacteria Meningitis. They are aggressively treating her with 4 kinds of antibiotics IV. If they can get this cleared up, they can save the shunt. In the meantime, Jimmy went home for a few days to dissinfect the house, eating utensils, bathrooms, etc just in case. I feel some relief that they have at least identified the issue so they can move toward resolution.
Have a good day all.
