Shameless challenge to force me to do one of these! I couldn't before because I didn't have a square punch. Well now I do so no exscuses! It'll be a Saturday/Sunday challenge cause some people aren't here much on the weekends. Get crackin....my idea is forming in my head already!
Here are the instructions for making my card. Hope this might help those who are trying to figure out this technique.
Along the right hand side of the Real Red cardstock punch three square holes using the 1 3/8" square punch. Line up the white cardstock behind these squares using the Hermafix Transfer. Stamp the snowman from Very Merry into each of these holes. Colour the snowman in with Stampin' Pastels.
Remove the white cardstock and run a piece of packing tape along the back of the holes, making sure the sticky side is facing out to the front of your card. Then cover these sticky squares with the Dazzling Diamonds glitter. Shake off excess.
Stamp 'Happy Holidays' in black onto the red cardstock and adhere that to the slightly larger black paper.
Vertically run both the white organdy ribbon and red grograin ribbon over top of each other and adhere to the back of the red cardstock. Now re-adhere the stamped white cardstock. You should see 3 snowmen peaking through the glittered holes.

Okay I've never done a challenge before~ but thought I'd give this a go.
Where do you post them to? I'll put this in painted Poinsettias, as that is the main stamp I used. I'm guessing we just look at recent posts anyways...I can't wait to seee all of yours. This is the first time I've used this technique and reading the forum just now, I see I'm going to have to work on it as I faced the glitter 'in'...

so I posted mine without the tag-glitter window or weekend challenge but here's the link (I think) its in Painted Poinsettias.
thanks for the challenge!
Wow, I hadn't checked this since this morning and you guys really did great! Now I need to take my own challenge and make some after the boys go to bed! I will try a circle and a square one...plus if I do Christmas theme's it'll knock out two more christmas cards!
Thanks! I was going nuts trying to get the punch through two layers of c/s. I have another one with Star of Wonder that I've been racking my brain on how to fix. I think it's hopeless but we'll see.
I hope my sample comes up soon in my gallery, I just posted a card for this challenge. I wish I could get my scanner to get the pics in a little better detail. Thanks for posting...I love to take on a challenge every now and then.
