I still don't have my comp copy- when did you all get it???
Ah ha, so you are the famous AJ Otto -- you are mentioned in the Take Ten Letter from the Editor. I got my copy of Take Ten on Saturday (here in Hawaii).
My cards are on Pages 6, 22, 29, 36, 50, 92, and 93.
Lori, we are sharing a page, how fun is that!!
Beautiful cards, ladies and congratulations!!
AJ you should get yours today I would think. Mine came yesterday and you are right down the road from me.
I have cards on pages 12, 52, 91, 98, 105, and 124.

Congratulations to you. It is exciting and an honor to have your cards published. I've actually had cards published in two previous issues. Way to go!!!!
Hi ladies,
Which issue are you all talking about? I just bought Take Ten this weekend at Barnes & Noble, but none of the pages you are mentioning make sense in this issue. The one I have is the April/May 2009 issue. Is there a newer issue out already?

the summer one- They usually send the comp copies to the contributing designers a bit before it hits the stores.
wow!!! congrats to ALL of you who have been published in this issue...I will definitely have to make sure to snag a copy of it! And there truly is nothing like the thrill of getting the magazine in your mailbox thinking, "wait...I didn't order this!" and then realizing that you have been published!
One year I sent in several of my cards and one of the cards my UL did for a convention swap. Yes, I sacrificed the one she swapped with me but I knew that she did all originals rather than CASE'd cards for convention so I knew it was safe. Then I started "stalking" her over the phone as soon as I got my copy and knew that she would also get a complimentary copy. I would call her every couple of days and say, "hey, did you get anything "interesting" in the mail lately???" but refused to tell her any more than that. Of course, I am known for sending goofy things in the mail...like once I mailed her a plastic cucumber with a Larry the Cucumber face drawn on it and I did it by just sticking an address label and a stamp right on the plastic cucumber. The people at the Post Office roll their eyes when they see me coming sometimes! lol! Anyway, FINALLY I called her on the day she got it just as she was bringing in the mail. She thought it was a freebie mag that she got by doing a trial subscription somewhere but she humored me by telling me what she had just rec'd and it was the magazine!!! I didn't let on but just told her "open it and look on page XXX" so she did then I swear I could hear her squealing all the way from San Diego (I'm in IL) and I'm tellin' ya that was even MORE exciting than knowing that I had cards in the same magazine!! lol!
It's been a really long time since I sent anything in to Take Ten...I think I've been published in that once twice, maybe three times? But what great fun!!! I still have those copies and I even know where they are! I guess I should enter again...but first I would have to come up with an original thought and that could be challenging!
The Take Ten Magazine has a designation of Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring. The Stampers' Sampler Magazine has a designation of Dec/Jan, Feb/Mar, Apr/May, June/July and so on. So the issue that is being referred to here is the Stampers' Sampler Take Ten issue for Summer 2009.
Congrats! Many years ago - I sent in some cards to Stamper's Sampler and also to Rubber Stamper Magazine. I was published in both and was so thrilled when I saw my work in print! It is a great feeling.
Everyone on this site is so talented - don't be afraid to submit your work - it's just so cool!
