Maybe you are thinking, "I've never been to Vegas" or "I've never been in a Casino, I'm a kid!!" Well that's just fine because this challenge is just right for you!!!!
In a Casino adults choose which game they would like to play....and it costs them money to play and only some adults ever win!!!!
For this challenge you too get to choose a game you want to play....but it won't cost you money, in fact every kid that plays wins a prize here!!!! (your parent will need to PM me with mailing info once you have your project picture posted) ***note, only one prize per child and awarding is subject to parent approval and discretion***
Choose a game and come and play!!!
Game 1
Make a pattern like a playing card. Lots of games in Casino's use playing cards. They have a pattern on one side of them and a number or person (like a King or Queen) on the other side. Normally the pattern is just two colours....white and one other colour....sometimes blue...sometimes red.....sometimes green. Your challenge is to make a pattern on your card using only white and one other colour, any other colour!!!! You can make a pattern on your card using shapes of paper or stamps....make the rest of your card any way you want and using any colours you want but you can only use White and one other Colour for the pattern part of your card!!!! (goal to have the pattern part of the card be at least 1/3 of the card but it can be more.....it can be the whole card if you like!!!) What will your playing card pattern be? What colour did you choose? I'm excited to see it when you are done!!!
Game 2
Make a sign. There are signs everywhere you look in Vegas!! Signs for casinos, restuarants, stores and streets!!! We would all get lost pretty easy if it wasn't for signs!! For this game you need to make a sign. It can be to hang on your bedroom door or it can be for your playhouse. Maybe your fish tank needs a sign or your fridge. Maybe someone's birthday is coming up and they would really like a sign!!! You can use whatever supplies you like to make your sign (as long as mom says it's ok). What will your sign say? I can't wait to see it!!!
Game 3
Let the dice decide. Lots of games use dice. Monopoly, Trouble, Chutes and Ladders and Yahtzee to name a few. I'm sure you have a game or two that has dice. Borrow a die (dice is the name of two or more but just one is called a die) from one of your games and roll it to see what number you get. Whatever number you roll is how many of something you'll use. If you roll a three maybe you will use 3 buttons on your card. If you roll a five maybe you will stamp an image 5 times on your card. If you roll a one maybe you will use one ribbon on your card. Let the die decide "how many" and you decide "what". If you don't have a die try one of the links below to get a random die roll, or you could ask someone to pick a number between 1 and 6. What number did you get? Will you tell me or will I need to guess when I look at it? (remember to put your die back with your game.....moms like things put away and so will you when you go to play that game again!!!)

Remember you are already a winner so whichever game you choose will be just for you to have fun!!!!!!

OMG - I took me longer to get this image off my camera and uploaded than it did to do the actual card! I had to get at least one challenge done today, so here it is. I picked challenge #1 and used a large Unity flourish for the patterned portion and a Unity sentiment for the main image.

This is such a fun idea! I think I'll play game number three. I'll go see what # I roll...
But my one DD is at work and the other is in Panama! But I'm stamping with my mom (m&m'sgrandma) so I guess I'm the kid (ignore the wrinkles and gray hair...)

Game 1 - Blue pattern
Game 2 - Pink cupcakes - she rolled number 2 so she used 2 images, added 2 layers to each and used 2 smaller and 2 bigger rhinestones
Game 3 - Room sign - speaks for itself :mrgreen:
My oldest DD (12 years old) JUMPED at this one. She loves it when she can stamp a challenge card
Here's what she made....
She played Game 3 - Let the Dice Decide - and rolled a 4.
She's got 4 stamped images in 4 circles on her card.

I hear you.....my DS is 12......I've had him stamp with me once.....he stamped the frog from Unfroggetable and then ran it over with the Makin' tracks wheel :rolleyes: At least he stamped though..... (he did say he'd like to try one of my challenges...so we'll see...)

Question for you mom.....do you ever get a chance to play with your own stuff???? Cuz it looks like your daughter might just be goaling to take over your stamp area!!!! Good for her!!! A future SCS'er!!
