I just got the Manhattan Floral Embossing Folder and when I went to use it, I can tell that it doesn't want to go through my Cuttlebug very easy.....I'm afraid I might break my CB by forcing it through.......has anyone else had this problem??? I am using the same "sandwich" as I have used with my CB folders. What is my problem????
I don't have this myself but I have had to play around w/sandwiches for my big Kick before. If it feels too thick to go through change up the sandwich and make it thiner. If that doesn't work, use the sandwich that is too thin and add some shims till it goes through smoothly..make sense or clear as mud??
i've used my cb to emboss the sizzix manhattan flower folder it looks like the C/b folders do but the sizzix is just the slightest bit thicker then your c/b folder i just leave the bottom b plate off and use a few cardstock pre cut cards as shims to emboss it. if you try to force it to hard you will break your machine :(... use shims you can always add more layers but damage may not be fixable! happy crafting
Ok, now I'm getting envious. I WANT MY MANHATTAN ROSE FOLDER. :( They were backordered and supposed to ship the 4th. I sure hope so. Seen soooooo many beautiful things done with it. I will be using mine in my big old red Sizzix.

Glad you got it to work. I was going to say that there is an arrow on it and if you aren't putting it in the right direction maybe that was making it difficult to go through. I have the SU Big Shot, not the Cuttlebug, though. You will enjoy this because it makes a beautiful impression. Try it with vellum. Even just plain white cardstock is gorgeous.
I'm glad you got it to work. I actually just came from posting a picture on my blog that uses the Manhattan Flower folder. I love it! (The folder that is.)
I am so glad that I seen this thread, I am planning on ordering this folder this week and I would have been upset if I couldn't get it to work in my Cuttlebug, now I will know what to do when I get it. Thanks ladies.
The arrow is pointing to the top of the design, not the direction in which to load the folder in. I always send the folded edge or a side through first.
I used it in my Cuttlebug and didnt notice any problems.....I made some awesome Mothers Day cards with it. Simple and elegant...I love this folder and hope that SU has many many more up their sleeves....
blessings.
