This week the challenge is to use something we all have and use but is very under appreciated. This week your challenge is to use your SCORING BLADE in new and exciting ways. Use your blade to score a different than the ordinary card fold. I made a fun tunnel card yesterday (link below) and I here that the Wednesday tutorial will be posted late this morning with directions for a flip flop card. I know there are lots of other ideas out there....an s-fold card and many others so surprise us with some great ideas!

Julia, I do not have a scoring blade, but I do use my stylus with every card and just run it down the track where my cutting blade cuts. Here is a card style that uses the scoring blade or stylus a little differently. This was already in my gallery.
Back CS is 5 1/2 " x 4 1/4 "
Main card is 5 1/4 " x 8 1/8 "........score at 4 1/8 "
Fold main card at score. Tear the longer side and fold up. Enjoy, Nancy Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

Here is a card I made this afternoon. You will have to use your imagination a bit as the scan did not pick up the texture well at all. I lightly scored the background cardstock every 1/4" and then flipped the cardstock over to get a nice suble pin-stripe textured background. I've been wanting to try this for awhile. I saw this idea somewhere months ago...sorry I don't remember where.:(
Here's mine. I used my scoring blade to add texture to the paper (saffron). I scored a checkered pattern. It doesn't show very well in the scan though.
I love the Crosshatch Background but haven't gotten around to buying it yet. So, when I saw today's Ways to Use It challenge, I had to try making my own crosshatch background. I thought it turned out pretty cute. This one also fits the Color Challenge for this week. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers

OK, you didn't say that it had to be a card, so I made a good ol' 2-4-6-8 box w/ Santa Post for the season... I think it will make a cute ornament for my tree - and the bonus is that the cats can't break it!
I finally got one done for this challenge, it does look better in person with the scoring but it's white and that color just doesn't scan that well. Part of it looks grey for some reason and scanner window is clean!
I made a card for the wt37 challenge, I am really very new at this site, and love browsing for ideas, thanks for all your inspiration,, this card uses an old stamp set that was given to me, and I used chalk to highlight the marks made by the blade.
