I am in desperate want of flocking powder... No I don't need it, but I really really want it! Does anyone know any stores that may carry it? I checked Michael's and Joann's and they had no clue what I was asking for...
Archivers carries it. It's called Fun Flock or something like that. I know I got a couple different colors from Archivers last year to play around with. It's like embossing powder, one jar will last you for a good while depending on how many cards ya make with it.
I don't care for the crushed velvet flock. It has a different texture to it and also very difficult to work with from those tiny jars.
I got some from Sparkle and Sprinkle at the stamp show last month. It comes in small about 2-3 oz plastic bottles with a pointed spout. I open the bottle and use needle nose tweezers to put it on my project. That way it does not go all over and I can get the excess back in the jar without wasting it. I think there were 9 colors in the package.
Hobby Lobby sells Doodlebug. But I have seen in in a catalog - was it Oriental Trader?
I bought some at Hobby Lobby before Christmas. The store was out of doodlebug, but had another brand in the "Christmas Craft" aisle. It came in containers about the size of a 35mm film container. Much better value!
Just an FYI, the size of those Doodlebug bottles (the tiny ones in the multi sampler pack) is deceiving (in a good way!). I figured each color would probably only be good for one or two uses, but somehow once you dump it out that stuff expands like you wouldn't believe! I had a hard time even getting it all to fit back in the bottle - I think that stuff is going to last forever!
