Default Anyone have the updated RABOM ribbon card?

I'm interested to know if any of their new grosgrain ribbon colors match SU! colors *or* if some of their existing colors (which were also updated) are now better matches to SU! cardstock.

RABOM has a 20% off sale that ends 4/17 so I don't have time to get a color card and was hoping maybe someone else had done the homework.

I was just looking to see if my monitor portrayed the colors accurately compared to my current sample card. A few are way off but the rest are really accurate. So I won't count on anything! However, the river rock looks a little like sahara sand on my monitor. I wish I could get a color card quickly!

BTW, when I was just there, I noticed that the sale ends midnight the 13th.

Thanks for the correction on the sale date. I ordered the updated color card after talking to a really nice gal at RABOM - hoping I get it in time to decide which colors I might want at the sale price. She told me that several of their colors were changed die lots, so the old card might be "off" a bit. I will post results once I get the card and do some matching.

Subscribing to this post as I posted the question last night about matches because of the sale! Thanks Julie for the list you posted on my thread.

You're welcome!

I ordered the ribbon card and it was sent yesterday - hoping to get it early next week. Then I will post my findings. (fingers crossed that river rock matches!)

When you receive the card, can you let me know the for sure matches? My friend and I want to place an order but want to make sure we match colors. Thanks for your help Julie.

I got the ribbon card this afternoon and spent considerable time matching - first I used daylight then also matched under flourescent lights (in my basement) and have the following updates to the Excel spreadsheet originally created by RCarter, I believe.

Disclaimer: these matches looked good to my untrained eye.

Thanks Julie!! This is great! How does the quality of their ribbon compare with SU's? Is it thick and shiny like SU's ribbon?

Thanks so very much for all your efforts Julie! I'm looking forward to taking advantage of the sale at RABOM too and was a bit worried about colors. But all YOUR hard work is going to be a big benefit to MY ribbon stash

really, though, we all do appreciate it!

Excelllent quality - 100% polyester, available in multiple widths, comes in 5-50-100 yd rolls. It is so similar to SU that I can't help but wonder if they buy from the same supplier!

Great! Thank you so much! I wanted to order a good bit, but I ordered from a different ribbon place a long time ago and the ribbon was very thin and looked dull. I'm glad to hear the quality of this is good. Thanks again for all of your hard work putting the ribbon chart together! I've been looking at that website for a while, but I was always scared to order and get colors that didn't match anything!

Glad to help!

Guess what? When I placed the order, there was an automatic "coupon" applied for an additional 10% off (this was last night...) and I got an email today that it's already packed and ready to ship. Awesome service!! I can't wait to get it.

My favorite was 1/4" for a long time, but I'm really loving 5/8" now. I really like them both, but I ordered mostly 5/8".

I just placed my order a few hours ago. I'm getting 135 yards of ribbon (18 different ones)for $29 including shipping costs!!  Their prices are great!

I tend to use 1/4 inch the most. So far, most of my ribbon "stash" is 1/4 inch but I do have a little 5/8 too.

Has anyone tried the 5/8 satin ribbon? How well does it tie and stay tied? Thanks!
