Hello Everyone!
My name is Tracey and I'm new here. I stumbled across this site a few weeks ago and have since become addicted! I have been a SU demonstrator for almost 2 years now and absolutely LOVE it! I am going to convention this year for the first time (YIPPEEE!!!) and wanted to ask you all .... is it normal for me to be soooooo excited that I actually feel like I might throw up? I can't sleep at night, and when I do I dream about card swaps! I'm probably beyond help. Oh well, I'm having a blast!
Talk to you all soon!
Tracey
You are normal. At least that is what all of us here will tell you! We, too, stand proudly and tell the world (those who listen, anyway) that we are hopeless basket cases when it comes to stamps. So welcome to the SCS world. We're happy to have another join the ranks of obsessed stampers!
What you need is some chocolate, some diet coke, and some time alone with your stamps, cardstock, and ink. That will get the throwing up feeling out of your system. That and a brand new catalog and FREE STUFF from Convention.
Tracey, you're going to have a blast at convention! I went to my first one last year and it was amazing. I came away so excited and pumped about being a part of SU. And it gave me a totally different perspective about Shelli and the company. It's great!
I too dream about stamping! One night I was laying awake and my hubby asked what was on my mind. I knew he was hoping it was something involving him....maybe he was going to get a little action! (I could see the hopeful gleam in his eye.) I didn't have the heart to tell him I was thinking of a great card design!
Welcome Tracey! Isn't this just the best site ever?!
I am so jealous of you getting to go to convention. I am feeling the excitement.... and I'm not even going! I, too, dream about stamping. Everything I look at is in SU! colors or what color combo I can put together......
Have fun on this site.... and have fun at convention!
Thanks Jenn!
You're right, I'm gonna go stamp. Besides, I've got to get busy on my convention swaps. Gotta see if the ones I was dreaming about look as good on card stock as they did in my dreams. LOL!
Tracey
Thanks to all of you!
What a warm welcome! That's what I love about SU and everyone involved! As for my husband, when he sees me lying awake staring at the ceiling he no longer gets excited...he knows what I'm thinking. He just tells me to quit stamping and go to sleep. I now keep a note pad and pen beside my bed so that when I wake up with a good idea I can jot it down.

That is exactly what I tell my family after a rough day at work or with the kids. Except depending on the day I may substitute a nice glass of cabernet for the DC ;)
At least last night I invited him to JOIN me downstairs. He watched the AFI special while I tried to figure out my convention swaps.

Welcome to this site Tracey. I too am a Texan even though I don't live there any longer. I guess I am still a Texan at heart. My daughter lives in Dallas so that makes me still a Texan. You will absolutely love this site. In fact you probably fell in love with it in the first five minutes. I know I did. I am not a Demo so can only dream about your going to the convention. Maybe one of these days. Have a great day stampin!!
Hi Tracey,
Yep, you're part of us now. There is no other place where anyone understands your feelings better than here. It's just so exciting to make the dreams realities with ink, stamps, cs, and embellishments. It's such a rush! Anyway, I'm so jealous but happy for you being able to go to convention. Can I stow away in your suitcase? I'm not a demo yet but oh, I can't wait to be able to be one and attend convention. Anyway, grab those MnM's, some DC or DDP(Diet Dr. Pepper, my beverage of choice) and stamp away, girlfriend! Welcome to the stamp fam! ---Kim
Welcome Tracey!! Wooooo Hooooooo Howdy Texan!!
And going to Orlando too! You're gonna love it here at SCS ... there's plenty of fun & ideas & lots of room for more!
(You'll soon learn how to take a 'break' from whatever else, just to go 'check' SCS. haha)
Welcome!

I live in the Woodlands, TX so I am not far from Deer Park. Did you get to go to the Rubber Stamp Expo a few weeks ago in Pasadena?? I went and it was a lot of fun!

Stampin' in the Woodlands, TX
Hi Shannon!
Yes, I went to the Expo in Pasadena and went crazy. I think I bought one of everything. I'm so undisciplined when it comes to my stamping habit, I mean hobby.
