WOW! Our 3rd month of 2009 Scrappin' Goal Challenge! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in January & February and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together this month!
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages last month! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
With that in mind, I thought I would invite all of you to March Scrapbook Challenge! Oh what fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends.
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person will post what their scrapbook page goal is for March. We will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month. Along with the scrapbook page goal for March if you'd like to play along with the "Using Stash Crew" decide what your scrapping budget will be for that month.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and if you want to play along w/ saving --- save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!
Money spent on Adhesive and Printing Pictures is not included in the monthly scrapping budget. We'll count pages 7x7 & up = 1 page for 1 page completed, 6x6 & smaller = 2 pages for 1 page completed.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2009 Scrapbook Challenge! Woohoo for March! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!

I'm SURE you will all agree that we need to go back and add in our focus on our scrapping budgets! It's a good time of the year to start as we'll all want extra $$ for the holidays. Some of us have been using the "budget" idea since we started, others not so much. I decided it would be easier to split from the page goal posts. There are several ways to do this:
1. Set a $$ spending budget for the month & track your expenditures against budget set.
2. Match your scrapbook/stamping spending by putting the same amount away in savings that you spend on scrapbook/stamp stuff. This gives you extra $$ for either more scrap/stamp spending or something fun
3. Set a "Scrap to Spend" page goal. Come up with a goal to complete before you spend more $$ (for instance, "complete 25 pages before spending"
4. Do a combination or all of them!
Many times scrapping and stamping supply purchases are "impulse" buys. We want to encourage not only LOTS of Pages completed but creative, productive use of our STASH. Let's see if together we can be "CREATORS" and not just "COLLECTORS". (Thanks MP )
You do NOT have to set a budget to play along with Scrappin' Goal Challenge. This is only for those of us who would like to play
I will post our Scrap Budgets here...let's see if we can band together and encourage everybody to keep on goal

I'll keep my March goal the same as January and February - 13 pages for me.
I managed to do 20/13 pages for February. Woohoo.
Stash only - managed stash only for February too. Double woohoo.

Ok - I only have about a week or so until I have to start packing up (yuck). But, I want a March goal of 10. I completed 29 pages in Feb. with a YTD of 54. I am so pleased with myself that averaged 1 LO/day!!

Here's hoping my March goes better than my February. I would like to keep my goal at 16 pages. I also will be using my stash instead of my budget. Happy Scrapping Everyone!!!!
Ok, I'm in...my goal this month will be 20 since I did 20 in both January and February. Maybe I can get ahead the first two weeks of this month since I'm not sick this time around!!
Well, since I met my goal of 8 for February and I'm totally impressed with myself for doing that:mrgreen: I'll give myself a bigger goal for March. So please put me down for 12 pages, Lela.;)
Oh yeah, about that budget thing...I'm gonna use my stash plus the scrapbook kits that come in the mail but no other shopping.
I didn't make my Feb goal, but I'm ok with it since I built in some 'wiggle room' this year! (thank you, Lela!) I signed up as an SU! demo and have become ***obsessed*** with building the perfect card box, so I got a little distracted...
I've decided to scrap like a demon till my workshop supplies arrive anyway  I'd LOVE to catch myself up with 26 + the 13 I'm short for Feb., but I'm not gonna stress about it...
but I digress, 26 for March and $600 for the year - $498 left in the 'kitty' - wahoo!
Still paying myself $2 a page - and I'll *finally* admit, I'm saving for my University education.

I do so loooooooove this movie, witness the VSN challenge I hosted last month  It's up there with the original Star Wars trilogy on my personal list of the Top 5 Movies of All Time. I'm not sure what the fifth one is though...
Congrats on becoming a demo!! Enjoy all your new toys ;) After being a demo for about 2.5 years, I've finally slowed down on buying stamp sets and am building up my cardstock stash. That said, I ordered seven stamp sets today...oops! Good thing I don't have a budget on here...my DH would say differently!!
put me down for 20 and stash again, already put 4 towards this month, I think I can the remaining 16! Especially with some great challenges still to go, the AI contest, and my Project 365 pages!

Put me in for 20 pages this month. I keep trying to use my stash, but I still mange to be spending money. I know this month I'll be spending as I have card club and an all day crop. Loving this challenge. Thanks!
Put me down for 25 for March- I do believe National Scrapbook Day is this month, and my CM consultant always has a fun all-day crop.
Plus, (drumroll please....) I have decided to open a "business" as a commissioned scrapbooker for hire!! Although I have a hard time believing that everyone doesn't just LOVE to scrap, I know there are people out there with tons of photos and memories that need saving! I haven't decided on all the deets yet, but I also plan on offering card sets, like birth announcements. I have hopes of making it viable within 6 months, the time when DH's unemployment will run out. Wish me luck, I will post my website when I get it up and running!
So anyway, this means I really need to catch up on some personal projects so I will be ready when all the business starts rolling in!
I would love to join if I can....I need to focus please!!! I will just try to do 8 pages and only use stash (but I what about adhesives? and card club I spend $30.00 on card club) Thanks so much.

I'm in need of a total of 36 pages done by the end of March to stay on track. Looks like I need to do a whopper of 24 to be caught up...uh-oh! Maybe I should start taking dd's ADHD meds to help keep me on focus! She's doing better at her school work than I am on my scrapbooking ;-)
Congratulations, Penny - you'll do GREAT, I'm sure!
Christy, I have that movie memorized too - one of the best ever made ;)
Congrats Bekah! I bet you'll be busy.
Jennipher 'oh yeah, that budget thing...' - LOL!

I'm in again for 10 pages this month. I made goal for February using stash and treated myself with a couple of goodies yesterday.
I need to figure out this budget thing too...I think I'll pay myself $2/page and then match that into savings for other things, but I won't spend the $2/page until I reach goal. How about that?

Penny-
good luck with school! Are you going to a brick-and-mortar or online? And yes, I am a twilight geek! I own all of them, and could never put them down!

Good Morning.
Ok, Feb. over onward March.
I have big plans for Mar. This will be my last month of leisure, so I am going to continue the push to complete as much as possible. I have lots of projects on my list. I hope to complete a couple of minibooks, a gift album, and continue knocking out the childhood pics.
So, my goal for this month will be 100 pages. I will need to take advantage of my lss coupons for supplies. I will chart my spending this month with $100. hoping not to the spend whole amount.
Woohoo! for new start.

I am going to keep March same as February...only 8 pgs and still working on the stash. Got 2 done already but this month is promising to be rather busy already. If I go over, cool! Thanks.....
thanks gals! i am doing this 90% online but will have to go in for labs and stuff so it should be ok. at least i wont have to get a sitter...lol. i feel more comfortable with doing it at home as i dont have that evil eye from the teacher looking at me...i never really did well with that...lol. the bonus of me doing this is that i get to motivate my kids and maybe have them look up to me a little more. pretty good bonus if you ask me!!
