My cousin is moving to Frisco, TX (just north of Plano) and we're wanting to put together a goodbye & good luck care package for her. She's an avid stamper, scrapbooker and cardmaker. Does anyone have recommendations of good scrapbooking stores in the area we could point her towards and/or buy her a gift card to?
My favorite is Delightful hands in Celina; that is just north of Frisco about 7 miles. It is great for the better stuff at a really cheap price! The owner is fabulous and the front half is a knitting shop. They have Friday and Saturday crops.
Why is their website down? I was going to include it in the links... oh, I see - you have a different URL - THANKS! I feared they had closed.
Did I hear they close???? I thought I did.
another GREAT place is in Winnsboro--it would be a drive but her place is better than any up this way. Not too many stamps but the paper is better than Archiver's. Scrappy K's.
http://www.stampasylum.com/Great and great classes! A little pricey but the technique stuff is found here! I have taken about 6 classes at this one. The owner brings in the very well known people to this shop. Very artsy.
http://thescrapbookbarn.com/ Not so great but ok...and far from Frisco...this one is right around the corner from me and the stock is very low for the last 3 months.
Of course Frisco has the best ever Hobby Lobby ( a showplace store!), Joann's (huge absolutely the biggest one around the area) and Michael's. Frisco is a little high dollar but those stores are the best and only in Frisco proper. She is moving into one of the best and newest areas in north Texas! Let her know I am here if she gets lonely and we can chat. I would gladly go to Celina anytime to Delightful Hands! It is my go to place for stamps and bling.
I heard a while back that the manager of the Frisco Recollections was going to open a store in Frisco once Recollections closed. Did that ever happen? Anyone know?

My last email from her was that the bankers put everything on hold, saying they didn't believe she could make it in this economy. She hadn't given up hope at the time...but it's been 6 months? since I've heard anything else.
