Hi there,
I just joined this awesome site. I've gotten so many great ideas from those who have posted pictures of their cards here. What a great help when I'm stumped on a card!
I'm not sure where to post this, but was wondering if anyone has any storage ideas for their cards?? I always have quite a surplus and right now they are being stored in a Ziploc bag. Not the most conducive way to try to find pre-made card to send!
Glad you joined! What a great site this is! I store most of my cards in a long slender basket on top of my desk! ( the kind with a liner.) They are handy and I can just thumb through them when I need one in a hurry! I do keep them in the clear envelopes for protection. I also have the su card keeper. You should post a thread in the General Stamping Talk and ask how others store their cards! I think it would be very interesting! The people here are very creative! Have fun looking around and join in on the fun!
Right now I store mine in one of those lined baskets like Barb is talking about, but I could also imagine myself using tins, a french memoboard or a clothes line type thing.

I decorated a shoebox with stamps and scraps and tags. Then I cut old manila file dividers down to the right size and stamped them _sort of collage style -- for Birthdays, Anniversaries, Thank Yous, etc etc....
As for card storage, I was also using ziploc bags, but on my last visit to staples I found these little index card storage things that were on clearance for $0.50 each! They are the perfect size for standard cards and had little acetate dividers so you could organize each card by type. I actually cut up the dividers for glass ornaments! You can also get photo storage boxes, use a shoe box...
I just got the card organizer box from SU!--it has dividers, and such for categorizing all my cards; now I just gotta stamp enough cards to put IN it! ;)
Anyhoo, it's durable, has a lid to keep dust out, and you could stack 'em, if you needed more than one. I like boxes like this because of the sturdiness and keeping my card corners from getting crushed, etc.
HTH, have fun, stamp happy!!!
