It seems that as we work through different sets of In Colors, there are a couple in each line that people really like.... Pink Pirouette, Cool Caribbean, etc. Do you think that after SU does a certain number of In Color lines they might actually pull a few and offer them as a regular catalog item? I love the In Color pink... it is gorgeous. I was in love with Cool Caribbean! I would buy both if they were offered regularly .... in a heartbeat! It just seems that it would make good sense for SU to do this... maybe expand it, too, to offer markers, etc.
Ditto from the girl in Janesville. I love both of the colors you mentioned and would do a dance of joy to have them available forever . . . or atleast another year or so. Wouldn't it be nice if we could vote colors to keep or get rid of?

I would love to see some of the colors stay too, but I seriously doubt SU! will offer them again. These colors are based on the new "trendy" colors and since those change every year, the In Colors change too. However, you should email SU! and let them know you would love to see some of them stay. You never know...

Pink Pirouette really has me thinking though. It isn't really trendy so much as it is just a pretty shade of pink. I like it better than any of the other pinks SU has right now.
IDK. At the risk of sounding pessimistic. SU doesn't exactly do what would make sense. Would it make sense to offer the in colors as sets in the regular catty on a continuing basis? Of course it would, we would all buy them, I know I would. But then it would also make sense to offer stamp sets as unmounted (just as an option), advertise it as "going green. But I don't see that happening either. Logic doesn't seem to rule in Utah. Just my 2 cents.

Reason: typo
I vote for Pink Pirouette staying as a regular color. I'm not that fond of the other SU pinks. I'm also hoping that they offer unmounted stamps, not clear stamps, just plain unmounted rubber. Think of the savings on shipping alone. Oops, sorry for the hijack.

I think that would be a very smart marketing decision for SU. They should have a look at what colours had the highest sales of each "in colour" for the past three years and then pick the top three colours for each year. They could then offer them as a "Continuing Trend" line.
So we would then get the best of 2006,2007,2008 still available in 2009.
Make Sense??

That's what I was thinking of, like a "best of the In Colors" line.
I have a massive supply of Cool Caribbean, Wild Wasabi, and Blue Bayou, and know that I will have to stockpile Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red next summer as well. LOL
Although I do have to say that I was SOOOO in love with Cranberry Crisp, but now I think it looks *old*. Pale pink though...how can that ever go out of style?

While I absolutley love just about all oF SU "In Colors" I doubt that they bring any back, since SU said they are only good for a year. I think we need to replace Pretty in Pink with Pink Pirouette too and I love Cool Carribean. Maybe SU should have a poll and see what everryone wants. It never hurts to let SU know what your concerns are!

I so agree with all of you! I love some of the old In Colours and would like very much to see them available again. Maybe replace Orchic Opulence and Lavender Lace... Yechhhhh!!

totally agree with this! LOL...Not a fan of those 2 colors either!
I would loove to see markers for the in colors as well. The "{in" colors are too good to just go away after a few months. JMHO
I personally think it's awful that markers are not made in the In Colors. I say that because I like to color on the rubber for certain flower stamps, etc. I can't do it in the In Colors and I can never find a match that is good enough.
Replacing a current pink with Pirouette Pink is a really good idea.
So, I ordered a "new colors" set of stampin spots in 2005, when I was new to SU. It included Handsome Hunter, Bravo Burgandy, Apricot Appeal, Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand and many more in the current line-up. I had the impression they had replaced older colors in the families with newer versions. Does anyone remember what they replaced?
So yes, there are some in-colors that are belong in a permanent line-up in my opinion! I really liked Marigold Morning and Cranberry Crisp, Cool Carribean and Soft Sky, this year it's Pink Pirhouette, Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red.
And someone please pass this on to higher SU powers ;) , I really DISLIKE Pretty in Pink! I will never order cardstock that color. I STONGLY feel Pink Pirhouette should replace it, it is a far more pleasant pink, yet much more in the blue-pink family than Blush Blossom.
Yes! Time to revise the color families (throw out Orchid!!! - bring back Pomegranite). Maybe start offering things in six packs like the In Color combos. Branch out and offer more than the 48 current plus neutrals! I would LOVE to see Cool Carribean come back and stay back! I think one of the problems of so many choices is having enough spots on the "pick line" for filling orders. The more products you offer the more space is required -- computer space, storage space, line space on the fullfillment line, etc. I totally agree with the need for markers in the In Colors! I think you can never have enough "greens" to choose from!! I try to work some "green" into almost every card -- It just helps keep colors in balance or something like that. And I find myself going back to yellows all the time now too -- Never thought I'd use Summer Sun as much as I have been lately. Since I'm overseas I haven't yet had a chance to see the new In Colors -- but if the Pink is as pretty as everyone says it is I'd love to have some! OK -- just my 2 cents! :-)
Here's what I don't understand. Why are these *in* colors and they have to leave after a year although many are still in fashion and the design world. What I want to know is why some of these *old* original 48 colors are just that and need to be taken off the block and replaced with some of the many that have been mentioned above. I have to add soft sky to that as well. Why can't they just expland their colors to 20 or 30 more and make everyone buy an additional ink caddy????

I want baroque burgundy back! And cool caribbean, river rock, soft sky, and buckaroo blue..... and I want to keep pacific point and pink pirouette.
And can someone at SU please give up on the orchid opulence?!? Bordering blue can go too.
And there needs to be a new shade of brown that's a bit softer than chocolate chip. I have so many shades of brown Copics and they rarely match any of my brown SU cardstock.

Oh no, I cannot give up my Bordering Blue!! Another earthier brown would be welcome, just don't take my Chocolate Chip or Close to Cocoa! ;)

The part about SU! going unmounted and saving trees - SU! actually buy wood from a tree farm that are specifically grown for harvesting wood purposes. They do not take trees from forests to make wood blocks. Every trees that is cut for the blocks, another one is planted to replace it.
Please send an email to SU! to let them know. Many of us demo's have started doing that with River Rock. But they need to her from more customers so they know we want these colors to stay.
I am also a Pink Pirouette lover. I will will be stocking up on this color for sure.
SU should definitely rethink some of the permanent colors and replace them with some of the incolors we have had. I know that many of my customers would be happy to see some of the old in colors come back. Cool Caribbean, Cranberry Crisp, Wild Wasabi, Groovy Guava
I think as many of you do that they can add the some of the in colors to thier line. They can still offer the in colors, I like many of you would support the addtional colors as well as the new In colors. Just expand the line. They all ready have the recipes so it wouldnt be a big cost to them ( in my humble opinion. They have been doing this for 3 or 4 years now that would give a whole set of 12 " new colors!!
