i'm going to be at a convention in salt lake city next week, and want to go to some craft stores.....anyone recommend any good, big ones? i have a michael's and an archivers where i live, so looking for something other than those two. i'm going to be staying in the downtown area.
also, does provo craft have an outlet store? boy howdy, wouldn't that be a little slice of heaven! a store full of provo craft!
Paper Creations is hands down my favorite Utah store. It's in Salt Lake and it's at 1140 Brickyard Rd.
They get a lot of new stuff in and are a big, big store. There's also a Roberts store in that shopping complex.
It's maybe 30 to 45 minutes south but worth the drive if you have the time to hit the Provo Craft outlet.
It's in Lindon, on State Street, north of Orem. Here's the address:
139 S State St # 1
Lindon, UT
Keep going south on State for 10 minutes or so (might be a few more), but you'll be in Orem and at the Pebbles in My Pocket store. It's the flagship and is a fun store.
Here's their address:
1132 S State St
Orem, UT 84097
There's also a Pebbles in Salt Lake. I haven't been to that one in years, but if you can't make it south, it might be worth the trip.
oh thank you! where is brickyard road? i'm fairly familiar with slc, but that's not a name that's jogging my memory...
i'm going to see if i can talk the gals who have the vehicle into going down to orem! one other question, do you know if they're open on sunday? i'm kind of doubting it...but that's the day i have the most time to burn, since i couldn't get a flight out until that evening.....
i mapquested brickyard road, (still on my first cups of coffee, didn't occur to me to look first, doh!)

I live close to the Brickyard's Paper Creations/Roberts. It is off of 1300 East (Richmond Street & 3200 South...behind Harmon's). There is also a small Joann's on the corner of 3300 S. & 1300 E. There is a Mom & Me Scrapbooking Store on 3300 S. & 2100 E., they sell lots of 2 page kits, card kits & up to date stuff!
All the Scrapbook Stores & Robert's are closed on Sunday's. Michael's & Joann's are open.
Heartland Paper our on 5700 S. & Redwood Rd. is a big seller of Maya Road products, and they even carry Stickles & & Cornish Heritage Farm Stamps! They are next door to a big Joann's.
Of course there is a new Hobby Lobby in Layton if you are coming down I-15 past HAFB.
SLC is full of fun stores, just ask if you need more info! ;)
