February is always about Valentine's day and love. When I think of love and creating cards and scrapbook pages certain color schemes come to mind. Colors like red, black, white, pink, and chocolate.
I know many of you are still trying to catch up from VSBN and all the fun challenges from that. Back when we all posted are challenges on Fridays we would skip the week of VSBN and I thought about doing that since mine is always on a Monday. Instead, I'm gonna make this week a real simple challenge week.
Your challenge:
Use any combination of red, black, white, pink, or chocolate on your layout. Your layout does not have to be about love. I just want you to play with the color scheme. You do not have to use all the colors together but please use only the colors listed above. You may use another neutral color instead of white if you prefer. You may not combine this challenge with any other IFC contest challenge.
This challenge is worth 20 points until the end of the contest. There are no bonus points this week and no early upload bonus points. I want you all to relax, create, and have fun with the colors of love.

Please use the keywords IFC25 for all layouts submitted for this challenge.

Back in January I applied for a Design Team Position with a scrapbook kit club that I subscribe to. I kind of just threw my hat in the ring, not really expecting to hear anything from it. When I came home Sunday night Sandi, the owner, had made the official announcement. I am now an official Tres Chic Girl for Scrapperie. I am very excited to be able to take on this role as it is a rotating design team position which means I will still be able to continue to host challenges here at SCS. :p

Thanks so much Ladies for your understanding and well wishes! I appreciate your kindness so much. I actually got to go see Norm McDonald from Saturday Night Live perform at the comedy club in Raleigh, North Carolina. The show didn't start until 10pm so we stayed over and went shopping and had dinner on Sunday. :p
I know this thread is for IFC, but since I am here and so are all of you...
When I first checked out VSBN, I read that part of the whole event was that you were supposed to complete the challenge in a certain amount of time - something like two hours. Since I don't work well that way, I don't participate in the challenges. Am I missing something?
You can do the challenges anyway-just let eveyone know that you took longer! You may not qualify for prizes, but you still get things scrapped and the challenges are really quite inspiring!!

Jenn-this is a great challenge-I fell in love with the choc/pink combo when SU had some paper that used the combo a few years ago!! Cant wait to get home and try it-maybe even with some of the inspiration from vsbn that I havent used yet!

Yes I love the pink and brown combo too. CTMH has a new line in their catty this year with these colors and I have one of their older kits with this color combo that I just love.

Thanks so much. This has been something I have wanted to do for quite some time. But hosting a challenge here at SCS is also an honor for me and not something I'm ready to give up just yet.

Thanks girl! I think the key is just throwing your hat in the ring. It's my first time being chosen ever. The only other one I ever applied for was a challenge blog and I never heard anything from it. This was a business and the owner actually sent out an email to all those who had purchased her kits in the past. So, I threw my name in the hat. I have to say she is very professional in all the experience I have had with her before. I truly think I will enjoy working with her.

Thanks Sally! Yes, I thought easy-going was the way to go. I don't do so well after I travel and I know everyone has a deadline to meet for VSBN so, why not take it easy?:mrgreen:

I actually already had this paper set out thinking about what layout to make with it! No photos on it yet, this layout is for Valentine's Day 2009 for pics of kids on that day.
