I have Ciao and Sketch both...I do not care for the wider ones...

I have all Sketch markers. I like the fact that they are oval and don't roll off the table when I am using them. They also have the color/number printed on both caps which I like.

The Sketch hold more ink than the Ciao, so they won't need refilled as soon. I've heard that it's twice as much ink, but I can't vouch for that.

Good luck. You're gonna love 'em.

i have 120 originals, 36 sketch, and 36 ciao, and i will keep buying both sketch markers (for the HUGE selection of colours) and originals (because of the barrel size, and i like the tip) but i don't like the ciaos because they are smaller barrel (runs out of ink quickly) and can't airbrush easily.

Just thought i've give my opinion as i own a lot of each kind.

I would think about just trying a few of each type before investing alot of money on them. I made the mistake of buying a whole set and I don't even use them because I don't know how and don't have the patience to learn...JMHO

I have Ciao & Sketch. I bought the Ciao sets so I could get a good variety of colours as cheaply as possible, and filled in with Sketch. Now that I know that Oozak.com has the Sketch as cheap as Ciao markers I regret buying the Ciao. I prefer the sketch. The Ciao's would really benefit from having the codes on the ends of the markers. I am also struggling with how to store the markers. I want them in order and both types together.

Check out this thread for all kinds of copic info. including links to some threads that tell you what their favorite color combos are. Buy a few in the same color family so you can blend them.

I started with ciao and sketch, now I am discovering that I love the Originals, they hold the most ink and they are great for outlining and small images. Love them!
