Default It's too bad I don't want a Cricut!

My husband saw the Cricut infomercial, and said, "That can do WAY more than your Slice!" and I totally think he'd like for me to have one! I just think it's funny, because I SO don't want one, and am happy with what I have, and he's all, "But look at THAT!!" lol!

I am like you, I have no desire to get the Cricut. If your DH is so gung ho about you spending the money for the Cricut why don't you tell him that you can spend the money on more supplies instead. Just a thought.

Guys are all about the bells & whistles. The more cool stuff it has, means it must be better. My DH would think the same way. I like my Slice, too. It does what I need it to plain and simple.

My DH and youngest DS were watching the infomercial one morning before Christmas and they alsomost bought if for me---Thank goodness I walked in, they tried to convince me that I needed it---I was like give me the $$$$ and I will get what I want for that much cash! I mean it is cool and all, but way more than I need and I so don't want to get into buying all those cartridges!

whew!! Thank you all so much for your replies! Some days I feel like such an odd duck, not wanting one. I feel odd about enough things already without adding that to it, so thanks!

Nope, I don't need it - or even want one... I've tried it twice at crops and thought it was noisy, slow and didn't do such a great job with SU cardstock.

My husband is going to make me one. I never really wanted one because I wouldn't use it enough for the cost, but I will use the one he makes me enough to justify the few parts he'll need to make it. I love that he can make specialized tools for me, and he loves the project.

I'm with you...I don't want a Cricut, either. I'm very happy with my Slice.

Well, I got a Cricut last Christmas. Family spent a small fortune on it and lots of cartridges. The bells and whistles are nice, but it's so much easier to pull out my big kick and nesties. I really need to try to use it more, but the sticky paper feed drives me insane!

My two daughters and son all called me independently to tell me about the Cricut thinking it was the greatest thing in the world and wouldn't I just love it. The idea intriqued me at first, but the more I thought about how I would use it and what it would cost to use it, the more I didn't want it. I am very happy with my Big Kick, my scor-pal and everything else I have to work with.

I am right with you. My DH suggested a cricut, but instead I went with the BigShot. I love the embossing ability that the cricut doesn't have. The textures, embosslits, and nestabilities are my main reasons.

I have to agree. I've gone back and forth about saving my crafting budget to buy one, but know in the long-run I wouldn't get my money's worth out of it. I'll stick with my Slice.

I really didn't want one either. My DH and I saw the infomercial one morning and he fell in love it. He loved the idea of vinyl stickers the most. I have always liked the idea of it but I did not know if I would get my monies worth out of it. So we ended up at the mall around the holidays and he looked at one at AC Moore and next thing I knew I was getting my Christmas present.

I love it now that I have it. Men are funny! If it was my idea, I would still be wanting one because of the price but since he liked it, I own it! Go figure!
