I went into the gallery to look at the beautiful creations and to make comments! I went to the quick post and sumitted my comments,it is taking longer to accept and only sez done. When I looked to make sure my comments uploaded they were not there! They are only showing up now if I hit the refresh button on the puter or go to the forums then back to the gallery.
How something changed on SCS? or is it something I did on the puter? Does anyone know?

Just went into my computer programs I have Windows Internet Explorer Version 7.

The gallery is wonky. I was just checking out some challenge cards and noticed that a friend's avatar is different over there and it doesn't seem to honor the "invisible mode" thing. It is showing people as on. Hmmm. I also had to refresh to see the comments I posted.
thanks for the reports, we made a change to gallery commenting in attempt to make it similar to forum posting.
you notice that the Quick Reply box (where I'm talking right now), once you hit the button to post it shows up immediately and you can see what you posted. gallery commenting hasn't worked this way, but it should now. we're investigating today and doing some testing to try and determine why some of you are experiencing problems.

I have also been experiencing the same thing this morning, once I post a comment in the gallery it does not show up till I refresh the page. I am using IE 7. Thanks!
I just had a gal with firefox try it and she says her comment in the gallery popped right up. I just tried it again and I still have to refresh to see it. IE6 for me.
OK! I went to the gallery to make some comments on the very first one I brought it up in another window,put my comments in the Quick reply and waited and waited. After 3 mins I just closed the window.

I went back to the gallery and it is now accepting my comments within a minute or alittle less but still need to refresh to see comments.
I had this same issue last night when I was commenting in the gallery. The little spinning icon appeared while it was "working" then it all just dissappeared and I didn't see my comment. I closed out of that window and opened it again and my comment was there. This happened with every post. It's kind of annoying to have to refresh each time, but I don't know otherwise if my post took or not. I don't know if this is a glitch or a new way that posting will happen.

I'm having that problem this evening, whereas I wasn't having it yesterday or this afternoon.
Not complaining, just feedback .
Maybe the problem is that I am now on DH's laptop which is IE7, whereas earlier I was on my PC which is the Firefox 3.x
Still having the same problem as everyone else is as I just commented on a card but it didn't show until I refreshed it. I'm on IE. (not sure what version)
I just had that commenting problem too. It didn't occur to me to resfrsh until I read this thread - sure enough it's there after I hit refresh. I had never seen that little swirly *working* icon before.
I was having the same issue. The comments weren't showing up until you refresh. The good thing was that once it came up as done, you could hit the back button once and it would show you the cards in the gallery again, not like before when you'd hit the button and it would go back to your comment, then back to the card and THEN back to the cards in the gallery. This time was much quicker although you couldn't tell if your post went through (until you refreshed).
I am on IE too...7, I think.
our intention was to make gallery commenting work in a similar fashion to the forum Quick Reply box (where I'm typing right now). you submit your comment, then it shows up almost immediately and without having to refresh the page.
it's not working quite that way for everyone yet apparently, we're looking at it now.
Oh Daven I am glad you are looking at it again. I just came from the gallery and it was taking longer to accept the comments and still have to refresh. Hopefully you can get it to work better.

I'm glad to know ya'll are working on this; ever since Wednesday I've had the worst luck with the gallery.
1. Commenting - it's Sunday and my comments are not showing up and taking longer to be processed.
2. I always open in a new tab - usually 3-6 at a time, view the cards and comment, and close to return to the original gallery page. This will work fine fo awhile but then they will never load. I have to close out my browser and/or restart to get any page in the gallery to load again. Not only is it a pain in the time it takes, it's a pain b/c I lose my spot. So of course, I haven't been viewing and commenting much the past few days.
I use IE as well - not sure which version, but I'm guessing fairly new as I got my laptop at Christmas and it has Vista on it.
I'll be watching to see how this gets resolved! Thanks so much for working on it to make it better!!
oh gosh, I hope you guys can come up with a solution soon. I know you're all probably busy with CHA. I'll try refreshing to see if it posts. It's a terrible feeling to write out a compliment to someone and then think they never got it.
Okay, I went back and checked the cards I commented on and my comments are there!! Yeah, that makes me feel waaaaayy better. Now, at least I know my time wasn't wasted. Good luck with getting this fixed and thanks for letting us vent.
HI Everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I've been experiencing all the same problems you gals have...I just started a new thread because I didn't see this one. I have Internet Explorer too. Hopefully they'll get this fixed soon.

I assume you're on IE 7, we've turned it off until we can figure out why it's not working properly.
I was coming to see why we were back to 3 back arrows again. Fair enough if other people were having problems, but I hope the quick commenting is back soon, it was so wonderful. Sometimes I was having the same problem with a comment not displaying, and just using refresh, but I can't say that I noticed if it was only on DH's laptop (IE7) or on my latest Firefox update too.
Is anyone haveing trouble in the Gallery?
