I am just curious- how the heck do you make the sketches? is there a program out there?

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements. I start with a template I previouly made and store. I just add lines, color and once in a while (like this week) a shape that is in the program.

Most programs also have a fearture to type in your color choice.
