Default pulling my hair out, dh's hair and the dogs hair! help!!!

I need some help.....I am trying to upload to one post on my blog (I use blogger) seven pictures and a good bit of text. I can not get it to look right. If I type the text first and the add pictures, there is all this white space. When I try to delete the white space I end up deleting all my pictures. I need to know how to line it all up. I would like for the pictures to be to the left and the text on the right, kinda like to coloumns. Any help would be appreciated! thanks *~*

Sorry Teresa, I can't help but I can commiserate. I have had a hard time making posts with multiple pictures too. It takes me such a long time to get it all right and I usually still have to compromise. I did find that what worked best for me is if I typed all my text then uploaded the photos starting with the one that would be last and working my way up. After that though, lots of time trying to get things spaced and accidentally deleting photos and having to re-upload them. Then checking the blog. Nope, not right, go back and edit. Frustrating! Hope someone can help. I would love to know this too.

I find it best to upload my photos first. Then I can type where ever I want. But if thats not working for you. Try uploading to photobucket and copying the html code of the photos into your post. I find that this also works well. xx

I have found that if I load the pictures first and then do the typing, when I get to the second phot it will move the photo down and start the typing to the far right under the top photo. I appreciate the suggestion to upload to photobucket, but I already do so much uploading, editing, and moving I don't want to move to another place. thanks

Anyone esle have suggestions?

Are you using the old blogger or the newer version? I do a lot of posts with multiple pictures. You just drag them around until you get them where you want them. Aviod using the backspace button when trying to clean those spaces up. I like to click into the white gap and use the delete key. With backspace you could be backspacing into the picture code.

Antoher thing you could try is to click HTML and remove any unsied Div /div codes. Those open new lines and close them with nothing in them. They look like this but without the X's <Xdiv><X/div> next to eachother like that. It's an empty line.

For me this works best:
-I upload my photos first, in reverse order
-I switch to HTML to remove all white space between photos : Each photo has a long code that starts with <a href=" and ends with . So I click after the end tag , hit the space bar after each photo and delete everything that comes before the <a href=" of the next photo.
-switch to compose mode
-I highlight all pictures and center them (clicking the striped icon in the toolbar) just because I like it that way.
-Then I start typing my text. If I can't click inbetween the photos to put the cursor in place, I just switch to HTML again, look for the spot I want to type my text, and start typing there, switch back to compose mode to finish each part.
-If I want a blank line underneath my text, I type

I also remove all the div tags, as mentioned by arles.

Sounds complicated maybe, but it gets very easy after doing it a few times.

thanks everyone, I did not realize I could use html, I have had web design I and I starting my web II class this week. so I am familiar with these codes. I guess I did not know you can go back and forth with the coding. I did not feel like I know enough to do it all in html. I will have to play with it. thanks girls! *~*

Hey Teresa, sorry I don't have an answer for you, but I definitely understand your frustration. I can't get my photos lined up right either. Subscribing so I can see more suggestions!

Good luck. My fingers are crossed for you.
