What do I charge??
OK I made 20 of these for my sister and brother in law, (they are full cards) gonna mono the baby's picture inside of it and send them off. I don't know what I should charge for them. she said I have to charge something at least for the materials. I used 10 sheets of colored cardstock, 5 sheets of white cardstock, and 5 sheets of vellum.

She's your sister, if she insists on charging you, charge her a penny and move on. You can just tell her it's your gift.

first of all, excellent job...just a question...is his name really james james?? I was like whoa....I have only known a couple people that way....I agree with the penny idea, but if she insists...just charge your cost, and nothing for time? JMHO

sister
It's your sister...your cost was minimal...if she has to give you something then just have her pay for the materials...if it was my sis I would do it cause I love her! They are gorgeous!

I know how my mom is about stuff like that, she just won't let me do it for free, and if I insist, I never hear the end of it. I'd charge $5 just to cover your cost of paper.

Great job... really sweet.
Have another idea if she is persistent and relly wants you to charge something...
charge her a fair yet modest price and then turn around and spend the money on something special for her...she's a new mom- the possibilities are endless. You can give it to her at one of those unexpected but greatly appreciated, or greatly needed, moments !!!
I know this doesn't give you a $ amount to charge, I have no clue on that, but it might settle her need to thank you with pay.

Charge her million dollars! That will make her laugh............then she might see just how siily she is to worry about it. you could write up an invoice for 10 million Kisses from Kevin too.

I have an uncle named Woody Woodward and an adopted uncle named James James ~ I thought it was just what everyone did when I was growing up.
If she wants to cover supplies, $3 is about all it cost you based on your discount and the cost of the supplies used. I would just tell her that and tell her to buy lunch next time you are out or something. I'm doing invitations for my SIL, but her boss is paying, so I'm charging. If it was for a party for her, I would just charge her for supplies unless I was able to go to the party.

Thank you all for the compliments. Yes his name really is James James. She insists on paying me so I think $3-$5 would be fine that is including envelopes that I had laying around (I even printed off their return address label on the envelopes too!!). I made them a baby card that had this info on and they liked it so much that they wanted me to do their birth announcements. Inside these she is putting his picture in there. Thanks all she was stressing on the fact that she NEEDED to charge me for those!
