Hi! We actually moved from Boonsboro, MD 2 years ago--only a few mins from Hagerstown. Before that we had lived in Frederick, MD for 10 years. Glad to meet you.

I moved out here from Colorado last year and am just off the Inwood, WV area, about 10 min north of Winchester, VA, and about 30 min south of Hagerstown, MD. Would love to meet more stampers in the area!
We have a Christian Music Ministry (www.Ash2Ash.com) and play all throughout the area too.
Anyone ever get a NoVA gathering together? I see a couple of threads but didn't seem to go anywhere so I'm going to post this message on both of those. I live in Ashburn, VA.
If anyone is interested in attending something already in the area, I started a card making ministry at our church in the Tysons Corner area last year. We do scrapbooking fundraisers 2 - 3 times a year to support our ministry activities.
We are considering doing a scrapbooking event in Feburary, but not sure if that will come together. We definitely have the events scheduled for May & November and the fee is about $15 for one day, $25 for 2 days.
We do card making every other Wednesday morning and the third Saturday evening of the month - there is no cost to attend or experience required.
PM me if you want more information on our events.

I hope this does not violate the TOS... a lot of our ministry members are SCS members, but it probably isn't strictly a SCS gathering so if it is in violation please remove my post - thanks!

Reason: Not sure about TOS
A definite date for North Virginians (and anyone else)
The only way we are going to actually get together is if we have a specific invitation:
My house: in Vienna, VA
Thursday, 15 January
1:00 pm - 8:00 pm (this will accommodate the day timers and the 9-5 workers.)
I have a nice sized, cozy space for lots of creativity. I love to have people over and I promise you won't go hungry.
If this date doesn't work, but you are interested, let me know and maybe we can change the date or just have a second time. I'm flexible and always happy to host.

I live near the Greenbelt Metro station and was wondering if you have a metro stop near by? If so, and some one can pick me up, maybe I can play too!
this is fun : I'm so sorry I couldmn't make it to your event on the 15th. Hoepfully I can make the next one.
Everyone else: The Dunn Loring Volunteer Fire Dept is hosting a scrapbooking and card making event (where you rent table space for a Friday evening or sat morning or both) on Jan 30 and 31. If you want more info just let me know and I can e-mail it to you.
Just found this thread. Keep me in mind as interested!

There's been some people who have expressed interest in getting together. I tried to set something up once and it didn't pan out. I'm still happy to host and flexible. How about some one throwing out some dates and times?
I don't know if any of you are interested, but I am having a stampin up party on Feb 12, 7 PM at my house. The Rep I met here on SCS and she is fairly new. For the past 12+ years I have a stamping party around my birthday, during sell-a-bration and just buy everything I need for the year. So no need to buy anything from attendees. I am in North Arlington if anyone is interested.

Wow, how do you resist buying stuff the rest of the year? I don't mind waiting a few weeks until what I want goes on sale, but to wait for once a year is more trying.
So far, I have only purchased supplies at Michaels, JoAnns, and Walmart. I have never been to a scrapbook store or party.

I couldn't wait a year either! Have you all been to Angela's Happy Stamper in Reston? That store is my downfall. They have everything and more -- Gina K, MFT, Flourishes, Amuse, Hero Arts, Whiff of Joy, IO, Memory Box -- plus paper paper paper. Great classes too....
I love Stampin Up and am usually able to "plan" those purchases, but there's nothing better than the immediacy of brick and mortar where you just walk in, walk home and stamp!

No, I never had the pleasure. I'm not even that familiar with Reston, really. I usually head south for my errand or into Vienna's downtown. I probably haven't seen TONS of possibilities. Really, I got into the card deal just with a value pack of cards and envelopes and a bucket of foam shapes at Michaels.
I am a relatively new demo (joined in August) in South Arlington. I would love to meet some stampers in the area!! I'm available almost anytime, my schedule is really flexible, and I'm ALWAYS down for stamping. In fact, I find that I get much more done when there are others around. Anyway, if you are in the area and would like to stamp or schedule a workshop with me, just shoot me an email and I'll be there for ya!
