I've just bought my girlfirend a set of rockablocks as she's been after some for a while now.
I just wondered if anyone else uses them and if they found them helpful? I always imagined they'd push the ink to much and spread your image, or maybe thats just me being heavyhanded? :oops:
Though I did see them the other day and almost bought them. I will be interested in hearing how she does with them.
Oh, and it is WONDERFUL to see a male contributor post here! Checked your blog and you do some mighty fine work!

I JUST got my set of rock-a-blocks in an order yesterday. I pulled them out and used them with a clear stamp and got a perfect image on my first try (I had assumed I'd need to play with them a bit and that there might be a "learning" curve - NOPE!). I think these things are going to be AWESOME to use with all my clear stamps. I'm going to try them next on my rubber ones (that have EZmount backing) and see how that works.
Oh and FYI you CAN'T press too hard with them to squish the image - there are raised edges on the 2 sides (that's what helps you to "rock" them) that prevent it from happening.
There's also instructions on the back of the packaging that show you how to use them. I just took a peek at them before stamping with them and they worked like a charm!
Wondering where you saw them or ordered from. I'd like to know the cost including shipping charges. I found them on one website and tried to get a shipping cost estimate but the vendor never answered my inquiry.

I had a set in hand the other day but put them back when I read that it recommends to spray adhesive on the block. I was hoping for something I could use the same way as I do the acrylic blocks - just slap the clear stamps or cling mounted rubber stamps right onto the block. Don't want the added expense or bother of spray-on adhesive. It looks like a good system since sometimes I squish my clear stamps a little too hard but not if I'll need adhesive.
Are all clear stamps the same thickness? Seems like they would have to be in order for them all to work. I am envisioning that the printing portion of the stamp would have to extend just a tad beyond than the rockers for this concept to work. Otherwise the stamps would either not touch the paper at all, or else they would squish too much. I like the idea, but have been hesitant to purchase because I feel that not every company's stamps would work on it. I could surely be wrong on that!

Simply adhere your unmounted rubber stamp to the 'Rock-a-Block' (we recommend using our revolutionary Stick 'n' Spray (AVAILABLE DECEMBER 200 but any adhesive should work well), then ink up your stamp and prepare the surface for stamping.

Clear stamps don't need any adhesive - they cling no problem.
Rubber stamps need to have either EZmount or some other type cling/adhesive backing to "stick".
I did just try using them with a rubber stamp (that had thin EZmount on it) and it worked great as well
Agggghhhh! I just placed an order with 7kids this afternoon and deliberately left them off b/c I hadn't read much about them. Oh well, just means another order, right?

I got mine from PTI and LOVE them! I seemed to get distorted or spotty stamped images using clear stamps until I got the rocker blocks. I think it was from too many years using wood mounted stamps and pushing down too hard. Now I have perfect images all the time!!

Thanks for the info, Amy! Since my stamps are either clear or have been cling mounted it seems they'll all stick sans adhesive so I'll grab my 40% off coupon and pick up a set!
