Ha Ha!!
The pixies regularly sneak into my home too and hide things for weeks - I recently bought a pack of beautiful Christmas papers... gone .... and when did they turn up? Yip, when I had finished my last Christmas card! Grrrr!
I think the trick is to pretend you don't really want to use your Cuttlebug (as if!) and the pixies will get bored playing with your head - just look on top of your shelves in a day or two and it will be back where it should be!!!!

I'm laughing because last night I lost my stamp scrubber three times in one hour! Although I don't have anyone but myself to blame! Haha

Hahaha! I KNOW just what you mean about "pixies!" In MY case, the pixies are my CATS! But not with something as heavy as a CUTTLEBUG! I can count on their "help" for clearing the area of brads, ribbon, Primas and other small shiney "Pretties " that catch their interest. You can just see their eyes lighting up when they see something interesting! LOL! Bless their little hearts!:-D

Whew! Glad you found it! I know exactly how you feel...I lose everything all the time. It's horrible. But I do have to admit that sometimes I forget where I put things and that is the biggest problem. For instance, I lost this stamp that I recently bought. When I first bought it (it was a great find!) I always kept it in plain view and always "knew" where it was and then there was that one faithful day when I ...dare I say it..."cleaned" and lost the darn thing..Wouldn't you know I put it in a "safe place" that I thought I would remember and didn't duh! And then finally found it days later..ugh! So, now I keep it where I should have kept it in first place, with other stamps in plain view lol...so frustrating, but just wanted to let yo know that that you are not alone!

Glad you found it! Your room looks great...I can't imagine something going missing in that organized space. Clearly the work of a pixie! Now if it went missing on my stamping table that would be expected. It's like the black hole for stamping supplies!

That's funny! I was going to ask if maybe you left it in your car or whether you have a DD (or DS) who used it. I guess that answers that!

I think I spend 1/2 the time in my area looking for stuff, clearly because I don't get to spend enough time in my area, that's what I think. But when I get into and have messes all over the place, I am constantly searching for my piercer, stamps, the smaller things but I have mis-placed the huge ATG too and wonder HOW..........but like some of you, it's only me......HAHA.

My kitty used to help me stamp all the time too or was hoarding her own stash, prolly to make me something nice. She LOVED ribbon. Was always on my table helping me or supervising, not sure, adding fur to my projects mostly. I'd give anything to have her back on my table and stealing ribbon. Sorry, just miss her. :(

Y'all crack me up! I have 7 year old and 5 year old pixies... but most of the time the problem is that I clean and organize - and then 'lose' it all! I'm such a visual person that if I put stuff away, it might as well have gone to the Goodwill. I just don't remember what I have if it's not all out there in front of me! Thanks for sharing all your 'moments'!

See, when you showed us the picture, I thought you had found it on top of your cabinet, right where it was supposed to be...cuz I have been known to do that. It's not there...and then wait...yes it it. (sigh)
And then sometimes things just blend. I lost my stampin' scrub for a month one time. I looked EVERYwhere. I always kept it zipped in the front of my CIS navigator, and yet I couldn't see it there. A month later, I actually fully unzipped the front of the thing, and found it right where I would have sworn it wasn't.

I lost my ATG gun for awhile - people were wondering how that could get lost - I took it to a Girl Scout meeting and it was in the bag that I used that night.

I've got a 6 year old pixie and a cat that thinks since I belong to her everything I own is her's to lol I lost my cuttlebug and cricut the other day until I remembered that I had moved them to table to make them easier to use and had piled paper on the table in front of them during my cleaning and organizing. Thought my cat had hid them from me in revenge for my putting all the nice spools of ribbon in a tote where she can't get to them

HAAHAHAH!!! the pixies come to my house too!! well traveled, if you ask me. And I don't even have kids to blame it on!! It is purely my own fault, or DH's when he gets on cleaning bender. (not too often, thankfully). I agree with Rubydoobydoo, you gotta pretend that you are not looking it and/or don't really need it, and it will just appear!!! Like magic!!

I lost my Xyron X for several months. I looked everywhere and finally gave up and bought another one. Not a week later I found it. Apparently when my sister was here, she put it away -- in a drawer. I NEVER put it in a drawer. Oh, well, now I have two -- for the next time it disappears!

So glad you found it! The other day I searched and searched for my small "Happy Birthday" CB embossing folder. You know, the one in the pretty script. In other words, my absolute favorite CB birthday folder. The one I use all the time. The one I NEEDED to finish a set of 50 birthday cards - and it was nowhere to be found. I searched high and low, my mom helped me search, we were so desperate...

And then we found it lying on my pillow. Huh? Oh well, at least I found it. LOL.

How funny I should come across this thread just at this moment! I spent the last 15 minutes desperately searching for my catty! I was getting ready to accuse DH of hiding it on me but I found it...in a basket in the living room! UGH!

I have gremlins in my house - pixies just sound too cute and innocent to get into alot of mischief! LOL!! I am currently trying to find some patterns that I bought - they are somewhere but where who knows. And I just put them away a week ago. Question is, of course, where? Hoping to find them tomorrow.

Glad to know that the pixies and gremlins reside elsewhere too!

Happy Stamping and Scrapping

hehehe, this is such a great thread!

Last year, I lost my SU! tag punch for about 6 months. I looked EVERYWHERE for it, and finally convinced myself that one of my regular Stamper's 10 members had borrowed it and forgotten to return it.

Well, I couldn't ask her, because it would sound like I was accusing her of stealing! (which I wasn't - I really had lent it to her months earlier as her punch was backordered!) But still, it seemed like she HAD given it back to me, yet where could it be???

So I finally gave up, and accepted that this customer had accidentally kept my punch, and was just hour away from ordering a new one to replace it, when my mom (who had helped me look for it, and listened to my constant theories of the punch's whereabouts) asked me, "where did you get that blue tin? I pulled down the blue SU! tin - you know, the one that SU! originally released with their tag punch and coordinating tag stamp set? - and ---IMAGINE THAT! -

I had put my tag punch back in the tin where it belongs 6 months ago!!! You can imagine my mom's "Wow, I can't believe you actually put something away where it belongs in your craft room" and "Wow, I bet you feel pretty stupid!" look on her face!

I got a good laugh out of that one, and even now, I'm chuckling to myself...

And no, I never told my innocent customer it ever happened!

hehehe...ah the memories.

So yeah, I completely understand losing ANYTHING craft related - I think all of us SplitCoastStamper's Craft/Scrapbooking Rooms are our own little "Bermuda Triangles" - I know mine is!

At first I got a visual of your craft room but then I saw how organized you are. I was wrong. hahahha. (I say that because I know what my craft room looks like) Glad you found it.

If the once, clean, organized, flat surface that I call a table would stay cleaned off - instead of the piled 7 inches high, cluttered, confused, brimming off the edges - I would be able to find almost everything! I lost my bone folder for months and found it in my billfold?????

I'm always "losing things"....it is actually worse AFTER I do a clean up...I think I'm being so "smart" putting things in new places that made sense at the time of my organization but not when I eventually "re-find" them...kwim?

This happens to me ALL THE TIME. Sometimes when I can;t find something, I try not to think about it, clear it from my mind and move on to another task...then, voila, my new task takes me right to what I was looking for. It must be zen searching or something.

I guess I'm not alone, actually, in elite company ladies.

I bought a stamp once and did a sample stamp on some cardstock. When I went to use it on a card, it was no where to be found. I finally bought a new one because I thought maybe I just tried it at the store but didn't actually buy the stamp. I came home and saw the stamp sample done with the multiple color stamp pad I bought to go with it (which I know where it is stored). Now where in the blazes is the 1st stamp I bought?????

Also, once I couldn't find the book I was reading. Guess where it turned up--in a baking pan I 'store' in the oven between uses!

Glad you found the CB because it would be like losing a 'crafting right hand' for me.

I'm glad you found it! I put things where I am sure I won't forget, and then, duh, forget. I also lose things that are right in front of my face, like my stamp pad this morning...

I am having the same problem with some Snowflake Spellbinder's dies I bought the other day. I have looked high and low....problem was I cleaned my craft space, lol....they WERE here somewhere.

Oh well, guess they will turn up later.

I'm still looking for my C plate for the cuttlebug. I've had my nesties for a month now and cannot use them. I wish I could remember the last time I saw it. I'm positive one came with the bug when I bought it.
