SCSNYE07 -A Black Tie Affair
Time for a Party!
I have always wanted to go to a fancy party where you had to dress up for New Year's. That always seemed like it would be so much fun! In honor of those of us who are home tonight instead of out on the town I am challenging you to make a card using the colors Black, White, and Silver OR Gold (or both if you really want to). These colors remind me of New Year's and the surrounding parties and festivities. You can use anything you want to add an element of silver or gold on your card- Paper, Ink, Brads, Eyelets, Ribbon, or all of the above! Just make it festive and have fun!
When uploading your creations to the gallery please use keyword
SCSNYE07
so we can find your creations! Below is a sample card.

I can't wait until I'm grown up enough to go to fancy parties!! lol!!! That will never happen. My hubby hasn't even come home from work yet, so it's just me and the kiddos.
Can't wait to see what you all come up with for this one!

Black tie affairs always seem to intimidate me. I'm a blue jeans, t-shirt kinda gal. I love the elegant look of the black, white, gold and silver. I'm just not that good at elegant, but I'll give it a try.

Oh I wish I had the grace and elegance of Sharon Johnson for this one. She makes the most incredible cards that are just stunning. Trying to think of this as I'm creating my card but it's not working that great. Will keep trying!!

A Happy Heart on New Year's Eve! Here's my card. I went with another simple style. I like simple, easy cards. The color challenge was awesome because my DH is a huge Raiders fan. This will be his Valentine's card!
THanks!

OH - here you are. I've always wanted to do that too - maybe when the kids are older. Until then, I'll just dream... and stamp.

I did attend a formal wedding once and wore a dress I will never fit in again. It was fun. But once was enough for me.
Here's my card.

I like this one too! I'm almost finished. Ironically I started it earlier today as it is a card I am making for loved ones wishing them the best year in 2009! I know it is a little cheating...but just a little...LOL!

Oh, how
formal we are!
I never would have tried this had it not been for this challenge. I'm being stretched and I like it!
Here's my card, using Black, White, and Gold:
