Your list have been viewed 5,000 times. You have bumped your list 100. Perhaps you are the only responder to your own ad. It is time for a change my friend. Look at your items. Are they over priced? Is the market already flooded with what you have to offer? Is it outdated and no longer marketable?
This is an intervention because I care. Please examine your post and make a fresh start with thoughtful price adjustments. Perhaps you need support to abstain from this self-defeating behavior. Its best to get help while you still have hope, dignity, and friends you havent pushed away.
Oh no-I was just kidding! I would take down my post because I don't want to offend anyone but now I can't. Thanks for your feedback about how it came across!

Thanks for the laugh! I often feel this way when I browse through the BST and since you didn't name names, I think this was not directed at anyone person and should not be taken as offensive. Just my thoughts!
I've only visited the Buy/Sell forum a few times and a while back, but I saw exactly what you're talking about. I spent years working in marketing, and your advice is sound. ;)
I also took it as a joke, very funny in my opinion. I too have often checked the buy/sell forum and have noticed the same thing. I think it should be taken lightheartedly.
Hear hear!
Post a few times....bump it a few days reducing the price once or twice ...or maybe a week for the infrequent shoppers...and off to ebay it goes.

I thought it was funny, it didn't call anyone out or anything.

In reference to Post #1. I think it is stated very well and perhaps it should be included in the instructions for posting in that kind of forum. However, the last two sentences do kind of take the seriousness out of what the point is.
I've seen this many times and feel it's tacky for people to bump their own posts in any forum. If there are no responses, then accept that no one has anything to say. Also, if the title line was better descriptive in the forums, perhaps there would only be responses from interested people. If it is just some catchy phrase, people may not understand and open it to get the point, but not interested.
I don't take Post #1 as a joke. I feel the person was being serious and others should heed the words if they do post in those forums. Just delete the last 2 sentences of Post #1.

I don't think bumping a couple times is tacky. Every hour for weeks on end is, but a daily bump for a few days to be sure it gets seen? No biggie considering how quickly posts came bump to the next page in the BST forums.
I thought the OP was well-intentioned and funny ~ funny specifically to not sound mean!
I've seen that on BST, too, and it does make you wonder sometimes. When I post there, I don't usually bump unless I've made a change to the post ... or if I end up on page 3 in the blink of an eye because people have posted their sales on multiple threads and it hasn't been corrected yet!
Well-intentioned advice by the OP, meant to get the message across and make some of us smile understandingly...
Holy cow, this is kidding? It reminds me of the old saying: With friends like you, I don't need any enemies.
LOL, lighten up! This was posted with tongue in cheek, I don't see any malice in it at all! And, as someone who has plowed through 100 "bump" posts to see if there's been an update, I think it's very apropos...

I don't frequent the B/S/T as a regular, but, I, too, found the OP as a "point well taken", with a lovely dose of humor!
I like that!

I got a good giggle out of this too. Like another poster above me wrote, I could only imagine being offended if this post strikes a chord. lol-- I wish I was that clever!
This post reminds me of when I was back in Psychology class in college. We had to creat a phrase to try to determine different types of personalities.
You post reminds of that as some took it serious and some took it as a joke.
You did very well and you still got a point in there. A+++++
