blog question

I had someone comment on my blog and ask a question but i do not see a way to conctact them to answer the question. how do i reply without having to make a new post?

Is your blog linked to your email...you can sometimes respond through email, or you can hop onto their blog, or respond within yours. I am guessing they didn't leave their email addy? That would be easiest I would think. Anybody else have a good suggestion?

This happened to me one time. I just left a comment on her blog with my email address in it spelling out the "at" and "dot" so that it wouldn't get spammed.

You could also add an "email me" button on your blog so viewers would know how to contact you.

That's always a good option. I use WordPress, which requires that anyone leave their email address when they leave a comment. The beauty of it is that email addresses are never published, but rather can be seen only by the owner of the blog. It reduces spam for me and allows me easy contact with commenters.

I've seen folks on Blogger use a comment form called Haloscan, whose comment form works much like mine on WordPress, but they were bought out by another company and I haven't figured out how to install the new company's on Blogger.

If I ask a question in the comments thing I always go back to see if there is an answer. If they bothered to ask they will probably come back to see the answer. Or maybe it's just me. LOL

I respond to questions in my comments by adding them in a comment. Or if it's a question I have gotten a lot I will edit that post to include the answer and thank the person who asked.

When you go to your blog and click on Comments, then click on the person's name, it will take you to their profile. Then go their blogpage and see if they allow you to send them email. Most will.
