Question Exercise to Spend Challenge?

Is there such a thing? Do I have the title incorrect? I can't find the thread for this when I search...

Thanks!

I've thought of doing this, but I don't know what to use for parameters. ie how long I exercise = how much to spend? Any ideas? I like to spend a lot, so is $5 a minute too much lol?

I have to go down the stairs to get to my stamp room. Does that count? ;)

Y'all are hilarious!

I like the one minute = $5. I usually work out 45 to an hour 4-5 days a week. Let's see, say 60 minutes at $5@ - wow, that's $300 a day x 4 days per week - gee, I better get shopping! I never saw any direct benefit to working out - you'd never know it by looking @ me (ugh), but now here's a benefit I can buy into!

I did the stamp to spend challenge last year. Early on, those of us who wanted to, added on exercise to spend. I just re-set my numbers yesterday, but you can see how I set it up in my signature below. I'm doing it again for 2009, and trying to do better.
They moved the AC Moore in my area about 9 months ago. It is now right next door to the gym where I work out. I never let myself go there unless I am going to spend an hour at the gym. LUckily,I take aerobics twice a week at a school that is nowhere near a craft store.
Still, online ordering is just so easy! I need to keep things in check.
All you have to do to join is to put it in your signature.

Default Link...

Here is the link to the 2009 Stamp to Spend. As c-mouse said, it includes points for exercise.

Hmmm....
walking the dog? maybe 20 points?
vacuuming the carpets? at least 40?

Ohhhhhhhh, I thought it was a separate challenge. So, if one works out for an hour, they have "earned" $6 to allot towards future craft purchases? Is that the conversion factor you mentioned?

Once I get the kinks out, I could be earning $15 a day for the 2 and a half hour workouts I am used to when I am in shape? Sweet!

I keep looking at this challenge and it really would be great for me. Now if only I could find a fellow stamper in my town to go exercise with me..... Best of luck to all of us as we tackle these goals for 2009.

Funny enough, I had this exact idea earlier this week, when I started adding up all the nesties I still want! My goal is 4 x 45 min workouts per week, minimum, which comes to 720 minutes/month (based on four weeks). At 10 cents/min., I'll have $72 per month to spend on my hobby. Yay! And hopefully, I'll be changing my screen name to 'SKINNYSTAMPER' before too long! LOL.

Tell me about it. I hit 50 already. It just keeps getting harder and harder. Now, everything hurts when I work out.
I didn't feel like going to the gym today, but I kept telling myself that I could get a new die for my Big Shot with a 50% off coupon, and that got me to the gym.
Happy New Year!!!!

Default Help me exercise?

Ok girls, you have to come up with a table that you can wear on the tredmill. Like those old cigar and cigg sales girls in the 40's? You can read while on the tredmill, can't you put cards together or something while you exercise?
;) ;) ;) ;)
