OK - as I look through the gallery, I'm in LOVE with the Top Note Die Cut. I want a few on white, cream or black paper. If I send somebody paper, would you make me three or four?
If you own a cricut and have the storybook cartridge, it has a marquee that is pretty similar to the topnote die. It is not exactly the same and it does not have the stick marks, but it is pretty close. Unfortunately, I do not have an image to share with you to show you what it looks like. Since I do not own the Topnote Die, I have been using this.
But if you want, I can send you a few of those. PM me your address.
I have resiste all the die cut machines.
But this top note has got my attention.
What co. makes it?
I've resisted because if I am going to spend this kind of money,
I want to be able to cut chipboard and it does not seem that any will.
I f anyone know to the contrary, please advise.
TIA.
It's a special Stampin Up die for the Ellison Big Shot from what I've read. I don't think it does chipboard, but maybe someone can verify that. The only machines I know that truly cut chipboard are the professional die-cutters like the KNK Pro and the Craft Robo Pro.

The Top Note is a rule based die so it will cut light chipboard.

I cut chipboard in my original sizzix with the original dies and also in my Big Shot and Cuttlebug with the original sizzix or Ellison dies. You just can't cut chipboard with the thin dies.
Cricut now has a deep cut blade and housing that you can use to cut thin chipboard also.

The Top Note Die is made for Stampin' Up by Sizzix. It is one of their steel ruled Bigz dies, so it does cut chipboard, in addition to a wide variety of other materials. It is designed to work in the Big Shot, but has been known to work in the Cuttlebug as well. It is too big for the original red Sizzix.
Hope this helps!

I used the top note die on several projects this weekend, including chipboard. I borrowed it from my SU! demo and decided that I HAVE to buy myself one. I do have the Cricut but I find that I reach for punches or dies when I just want to make a "quick" oen of something. Andrea
Thanks I may have to look into that cartridge. I just got a Cricut for Christmas.

I would be happy to cut in any of the SU colors for you and send it as a
RAK. Just pm me your preferences with your name and address.
Christmas blessings.
You are such enablers - I have been waiting to put an order into SU until today because I could not make up my mind. NOW - you have done it - you just made me buy myself another Christmas present. I have a CB but do no cutting only embossing with it. I have a Cricut Personal (DEEP SALE) and it is still in the box. I also bought several sizzix dies from a friend who needed the money. OK - I have convinced myself again. We all have such good logic - I think I need it, I like what I see, I will ...
I owned a Cuttlebug and used it for embossing once in awhile. When I bought the Big Shot it was mostly for business reasons at first - I just didn't think I would use it much. I use mine almost every day! Here's a card I posted today using the TOP Note with fabric~cuts it clean and easy! Wishing you a Merry Christmas to you!
I purchased a Big Kick today just so I could get this die from Stampin' Up! I didn't want to spend the $100 so I went to Michael's with 50% coupon in hand only to find that it was already on sale for 50% off! BONUS!!! I only paid $50 for the machine with no shipping (just time & gas!)
I did call Ellison Tech Support to find out the difference between Big Shot and Big Kick. They are virtually the same machine with slight visual differences such as color; but the dynamics of the machines are exactly the same. The best part is that the SU! dies will work in the Big Kick! I asked that specifically too!
Cindy, i like your card and how you used fabric! I will have to give this a try! I just received my top note and only had time to cut one out with my CB.

Thanks! I can't seem to stop thinking of other possibilities and things I can cut! Well, time to get back to trimming a little paper and wrapping presents.
Can anyone CONFIRM for me that the Top Note WILL work in the Cuttlebug? I see several people mention it, but I've read elsewhere that it's too big for the CB...? I have a friend who will graciously loan it to me (she has the Big Shot, too, but I didn't want to borrow everything!) I don't want to take the time away from her if it won't fit my CB.
Thanks!!
Two ladies have asked me for some Top Note Die Cuts. I would be willing to do it for anyone who would like some.
Many warm Christmas Blessings to each of you lovely ladies here.
