My sister is having her 5th baby!!! Let me rephrase that...her 5th BOY baby! YIKES! I am going to make her announcements. I'm thinking about doing 4 sets of blue feet print on the front and then one more set inside, but I want to say something cute inside....I am at a loss...
Does anyone have anything cute to say?
My parents had a set of baby announcement cards (circa 1950s) that went like this:
"Here's number one, and we've just begun"
"Here's number two, and we're not entirely thru"
"Here's number three in our family tree"
"Here's number four in our tax exemption corp"
I was number four and the last, so sorry can't give you one for number five (people can still afford that many kids? - more power to 'em). Maybe you can come up with something like the ones above.
We got a pillow with the phrase "Your home has just grown by two feet" from our neighbor (and her husband is a contractor, so it was very appropriate haha). I suggested it to my friend and she did an adorable announcement with the baby shoes from Steepin' Style.
Maybe you could stamp 4 pairs of the shoes in a row in blue, and then the 5th pair embossed in silver?
Or using the same phrase a pic of al of the boys bare feet together with the newest babies at the end of the row (ooh-a black/white pic would be so cute!)? I have a pic of my son's feet laying on top of my 16 year old neices and it is so sweet!

I saw this on a stamped card...maybe stampers showcase? Anyway, it was 2 footprints stamped and then below it,or inside was written, "we've expaned our house by 2 feet."
Thanks guys! You guys are awesome! I got some really great ideas...
So far I have this for her announcements:
(on the inside left of the card)
Tony was number one, and we had just begun
Nick, was number two, and we weren't entirely thru
Garrett & Stanley were 3 & 4,
and who ever thought there'd be one more...
then on the other side the announcement with his name and birth info...
What do you think?
Wonderful ! I like how you used the 1950s announcement with your own twist, very fun. Now I want to ask my mom, since the four of us were all born two years apart, did she buy all the cards when my oldest brother was born? Nowadays, you wouldn't find a set like that hanging around in the store for six years. By the way, as a kid, I didn't really like being referred to as a tax exemption on my announcement when I saw it in the family album, but I can laugh about it now. Glad you're not using that one for the baby.
LOVE it.... I have 4 boys, 1 girl and will find out tomorrow what #6 is. I love the poem with the names in it. Great idea. You'll have to post a pic when your done ;o)
Blessings

Wow! That is too cute of a saying! I am pregnant with boy # 2 and I have always thought that I'd have only boys as long as I can remember. I tell everyone my life is destined to be run by men. So far, it's true!!!!!
If I were your Sister I would love the announcements.
The good thing about having so many sons is I can say I live with 6 guys that love me with all their hearts. I feel the same back and have no shame.
