Default Copic Sketch Storage

Has anyone come up with a good/workable way to store Copic Sketches? I have searched the threads and can't find any workable ideas...Thanks!!

I bought mine in bulk - to begin with but use the clear case they came in - they are for sale separately here - I put mine in color groups in the cases to make it easier to find the colors HTH

Thanks, River...I didn't know you could buy the cases...I bought the 72 and that case is great but it's the other 150 that wander around everywhere...lol

I dealt with oozak for my copics and if it were me I would email them. They have been great to me and from what I have read others as far as Customer service goes. They may have an ETA on them or let you know if they are hugely backordered.

I got the idea to use the QK Magpie Storage units on here (SCS)...and since I was already using them for dies...it was a perfect addition to add another without tins. The photo was a while ago...now there are about 125 Copics in mine and it has room for at least double that. I use my kitchen table, otherwise I would have it setting on my desk.

I got some at scrapbookexpress.com ....they came with free tins...also ritzcamera.com has them cheaper without tins....and tons of other items you might need to get free shipping.

Try a search for Quickutz Magpie and you might find even better deals!

I liked the Magpie storage but didn't find a local source and didn't want to pay the shipping charge. At a garage sale I bought a $3 plywood CD storage unit that had nine "cubes". They are rectangles, not true squares, but they work fine. I had an acrylic mail sorter that fit in the first "cube" and neatly organized my grays into five sections. For the rest I cut and scored some cardstock into an upside down "T" shape to divide a cube in two parts. My formerly nine space storage unit now has eighteen separate units. The last two hold Spica glitter pens and Micron pens. I hope to find some more garage sale mail sorters to organize individual colors more.

Before all this, I had the Copics stored vertically. Now that they are horizontal I am lovin' the convenience of seeing the marker ID numbers easily.

I'm using the mesh pencil holders you can purchase at Office Depot, Staples, or Target. I have one for each color family.

I found a solution at Target in the scrapbooking section. I really love these units, and they were only $19.99 each - I have two, and they hold all of my Copics. I have both Ciaos and Sketch Markers. Hope this helps!

Another vote for QK Magpie Storage Units.....I have 4 now!! Not that I have that many copic markers, but the uses for the units are endless!!

I just bought some empty clear plastic COPIC sketch storage cases from Pink Hedgehog as a preorder - you might check to see if they have any in stock. There were selling all 3 sizes, I believe.

I love the look of your unit! I am alos jealous of all your copics!!! LOL I just start getting some. Can't wait until I have as many as you do I thought it is better for the marker to be stored on its side though and not standing up. Am I wrong on that one? That will make a difference on how I will store mine.

I was at Office Depot the other day and saw these clear cube organizers for your desk on clearence for $2.00. I was going to get one, then said but for what. I didn't get it.....then. I went back last night to get one to put my copics in for now. Works ok for now...was the right price too....cheap..LOL!
I will look for something else as I get more copics. Hopefully that will be soon.....;)

Actually Copics can be stored either way...they are not supposed to settle like die inks, and they can't dry out if capped. Copic actualy sells them in the upright cases, so they are quite fine whichever way you want to store them.

Thanks for letting me know. Now I will have to decide how I want to store them once my craft room downstairs is finished. I do like how they look in the magpie storage units too. Maybe I'll have sooo many copics I'll need both storage units....one can dream can't they?!?! LOL ;)

Those come with tins...which is how I bought mine, but sold the set of 9 tins on Ebay for $17.

You can get them at cutathome.com also. I checked and you should be able to use there 40% off coupon on it too. Not sure on the shipping price though. With the 40% off I think it was a pretty decent price.

I plan on getting one of these
Marker Pen Pencil Storage Organizer by organizemore on Etsy
It's the closest thing to the Studio Solutions Copic units I have and can't get anymore.

I ordered the Copic Marker Case from Oozak.com and love it!!! They have the best price and best customer service. The case holds all the markers, my Spica pens, as well as the multiliners. You can also fit your color charts on top of the mesh holders too! It works great no matter where you work at home or if you want to take your markers to a class, crop or on vacation. It's ideal storing them by color groups, and I still have room to grow.

I've tried a number of different storage methods, and this has been the best so far!
