IC157 ~ Images Under Glass {12-06-08}
Inspiration Challenge 157~ Images Under Glass
I love fun pendants. I was so inspired by all of the cool designs in the Etsy Gallery Images Under Glass, I made two sample cards for this weeks Inspiration Challenge. Ive linked to the inspiration pieces for my two cards, and uploaded three more great pendant designs. Feel free to use any of the designs in her gallery for your inspiration ... just make sure you link us up to your inspiration.
A huge thanks to Anne for hosting the challenge last week while I was traveling. The gallery was amazing.
Use the keyword: IC157 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
*** ETA *** a note from Images Under Glass
Thank you so much for choosing my pendants for inspiration : )
It was a blast to go to your site and check everyone's awesome cards out.
I have hundreds of stamps from my stamping days which I loved to do so much but I just don't seem to have any free time left anymore - lol
Happy Holidays to you,
Sue
My sample ~ Happy Winter inspired by Quilt Patch Christmas Tree
My sample ~ Hanging with my Gnomies inspired by Gnomes
IC157 Gallery
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

Drat - another awesome challenge! I knew I should have walked right by the computer and gone straight to bed, but noooooooo - now I have to go get out the diamond glaze... I learned my lesson trying to photgraph things at night, though, so I'll post in the morning! Thanks for keeping me up - sleep is so overrated...

what a great site! you always find the coolest things stef!
my card is very simple, as the piece that inspired me was simple and direct.
this is my card: SIMPLY WINTER
It is based on this piece: birch trees
i was inspired by the trees, by the simple scene and it being winter, i felt the need to stay in the season of winter.
confused? i know my brain is always strange in the interpretations.( i look with my creative eye.)
tfl!

Great challenge - some really pretty pieces to choose from and there were a few that interested me. However, this is my card:
Inspired Hokey Pokey
A link to the design that inspired me is in my card description.
I really enjoyed making my first regular challenge card in a very long time!!!

Great choice, thanks Stef.

What a great challenge, Stef. Those images are gorgeous. I can't believe I did 2! But, when you see them, you'll see why I did 2. I kept them really simple. A no brainer and not at all fancy. So, this was easy. Here's my inspiration on the first one ..... http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php...ng_id=18286168 and here's my card .... Brown Horse
Here's the inspiration for the second card (which I again kept simple) Hmmm, must be in a "I'm not thinking today" kind of mood ..... http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php...ng_id=18170963 and here's my card ..... Red Slippers
Personally????? I think they're both boring - my cards that is. The inspirations are gorgeous. But hey, I'm my worse critic. So, thanks a bunch for looking and for your kind comments!

These are really pretty. Great inspiration challenge, Stef. I'm working on getting my Christmas cards signed and mailed, but hope to have time to play at some point.
