Default Best Stamp sets to start out

I am a new demo and need to know which sets you, who are experts, may think are the best sets to demo/buy.

TIA

Right now the current hot one seems to be In Full Bloom with the Aqua Painters. My customers loved the technique. Any Christmas type set ius a winner this time of year, too.

HTH!

I really like Bold Basics. It's very versatile for holidays and general occasion cards.

My most demo'd sets include a flower set, a two step stamping set, a background set and a word set.

When I became a demo, I didn't realize the value in a good word set like all year cheer. Duh! Didn't take long before I realized just how much I needed one!

If you love the sets you demo, others will notice your enthusiasm.

Good luck!

A greeting for all reasons has been a great seller for me. Most people who are just starting out love it because it has a variety of stamps for different occasions along with the word stamp to go with them. There is a lot they can do with just this set, a black ink pad, and some watercolor pencils (it is what I started on).

The very 1st set I ever bought was Sketch It-it hsa so many out of the box ideas, you don't need to color it, and it has 3 phrases.

My favorites that have been big hits with customers:
Espress Yourself (so versatile-great for gifts as well as cards)
Fishy Friends

Terrific tulips was one of my first sets and it's one that still draws the most "ooohs and aaaahs". You can do 2-step stamping, and you can stamp with the same ink pad if you use 2nd generation, then 1st generation. If that doesn't make sense, holler!

I also love Watercolor Garden, and All Year Cheer I. I made the mistake of buying a few of the sentiments from that set on an auction site, and then ended up getting the whole set when I became a demo. Now I just ordered All Year Cheer 3! The whole set of sentiments is definitely worth the money!

I like Greetings Galore, Tags & More, & A Greeting for All Reasons for BRAND NEW stampers. They can start w/ a black pad only & use their kids' colored pencils & markers & the sets are versitle. Then.....they are hooked & they start realizing the inferiority of the pencils & markers at home & they start to think about an upgrade. Hopefully, they saw you do a 2-step, or their friend bought one, & they realize how much automatic depth they can create (despite their lack of coloring tallent) & they want pads & ....FLOWERS!

If I could only have one set...it would definitely be Lovely as a Tree! That set is so incredibly versatile. I just love it.

I'm with Patty. Lovely as a Tree is one of my favorites, but you also need to have a set to color in so you can demo pastels, watercoloring, and the watercolor pencils and blender pens. I've said this before, but I love Little Hellos for the color in set. I've got mine mounted with the words on the ends and it gives lots of extra options that way.

All of the above!!! But I wanted to throw another one in there. All Natural is a huge favorite of mine. It's not expensive (for first time stampers) and it's very versatile, you can use it in several seasons and to make cards for men or women. And it's easy to show lots of techniques with!

I'm with Amy - All Natural! You can get several different looks, color with pencils or markers (or not) and it has some phrases. Definitely a good starter set.

Yep, I have to agree with the All Natural. I use it all the time, and it has a Thank You stamp in it.

Simple Sketches is one I used a lot when I started because it was a 2-step stamp set as well as having 3 general purpose phrases. You can chose to use it as a 2-step stamp or use the top stamp and colour in with pastels. Makes it pretty versatile.
